Crackdown, Dead Rising 2, and Dead Rising 2: Case Zero are the Free Xbox Live Gold Free Games for August

Happy August, everyone! To celebrate what is largely a boring month, be sure to download your free copies of Crackdown and both Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Case Zero from Xbox Live Gold.

Alright, so the Dead Rising 2 games aren't included yet, but they will be later this month. For now, however, be sure to pick up Crackdown. It's fantastic and not at all terrible like the sequel that came after it.

Since Microsoft is keen to hide how to get these games, we'll give you a quick how-to: Start up your Xbox 360 > Navigate to the Games tab > Choose "Browse Games" > Find the notification area in the top right corner.

Alternatively, hit up this web-based URL to grab Crackdown until the 15th and then the Dead Rising 2 games until the 31st!
