For as great as the Steam Store is, let's be honest with ourselves: It could be a lot better. That is precisely what the developers of the Enhanced Steam browser plugin thought too.

Enhanced Steam is a browser plugin that works in both Google Chrome and Firefox that adds a lot of additional functionality for the end consumer. So what does Enhanced Steam bring to the table right now? Let's find out thanks to the magic of bullet points.

• Finds out how much you really save on a bundle

• Gives you widescreen support information from WSGF

This plugin won't work or interfere with the Steam Store experience when browsing through the Steam client. It is merely a plugin for Chrome and Firefox that will enhance your viewing and store usage when using either of those browsers.

It's also available for Opera as well. I particularily like the user Metacritic score, 3rd-party DRM, and pricing history features. I'm not sure why the Steam Greenlight banner needed a replacement though, so I won't bother enabling it (disabled by default so that was nice of them). The bundle savings feature is also very helpful as it takes into account for products you already own, and therefore don't really save on.
