Preview the New Mirage Map for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Recorded late last night and uploaded during one of Giant Bomb's many breaks in their post-E3 show, I managed to cobble together a little preview video for you of the new Mirage (de_mirage) map just added to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Mirage is a remake if a classic Counter-Strike map that many have probably forgotten about unless you're part of the "MLG Pro 360 No Scope" crew.

Skips all of long/lower b /// "well that's basically it."

    :)

Nice of you to run through for those who haven't seen it, though! I have yet to get a matchmaking match that wasn't on mirage unless I took it out of rotation. There must be a lot of people trying to play only Mirage.

After this week, the fact that any video exists at all should be a miracle in and of its own right. I'm still exhausted and really haven't had a chance to enjoy any of the videos that came out of E3 yet.

Hmm.. the map looked so familiar. Then I remembered. It's almost like de_cpl_strike. But what's the difference between Mirage and Strike? Was Mirage originally just an updated version of Strike?

EDIT: To answer my own question, most likely yes. I found these two screenshots for comparison:

In Mirage, they removed the basement passage at bomb site B. Also a few boxes have been replaced here and there. Ah, so many memories of playing Strike clan matches. CS 1.6 of course.
