Microsoft's E3 2013 Press Conference 'Live' Stream

Keep it here for the most up to date information from the Microsoft E3 2013 press conference. I will be updating this periodically with new news as it's unveiled and revealed during the conference.
12:31PM - And away we go... Sort of.

12:36PM - METAL GEAR!

Open world?! Horse riding. Snake shown sliding to the side of a horse to bypass some enemies.

Dynamic weather.

Various modes of transport: Jeeps, armored vehicles.

"Tactical espionage" redefined.

"Unparalleled strategic freedom."

"Realistic passage of time."

"Deeper stealth action."

Dynamic CQC.

Snake rescuing Kaz.

New/returning characters: Quiet (Female)

Skull Face.

Emmerich.

Ocelot.

Code Talker.

"Punished Snake" - A Fallen Legend

12:42PM - Don Mattrick and Hideo Kojima take the stage.

12:44PM - New Xbox 360 redesign... again. Smaller, sleeker. Available today.

12:44PM - Xbox Live Gold members will get some new bonuses. New or existing members get two free games per month starting in July through to the release of Xbox One.

They're starting with Halo 3 and Assassin's Creed 2.

12:47PM - Showing off World of Tanks for the Xbox 360.

Wargamming CEO taking the stage to talk about World of Tanks for the 360.

Will still be free to play on the Xbox 360 but only for Xbox Live Gold members.

12:50PM - Guy talking about how they love games. We get it, Microsoft. We get it.

Showing off Max: The Curse of Brotherhood.

12:51PM - Dark Souls 2?

Yeah, it's Dark Souls 2. Looking real good.

12:52PM - Phil Spencer says that everything being shown from "this point" on is for the Xbox One.

Well, I guess they dropped the ball on the "games" side and are trying to make up for it.

New franchise about to be shown.

12:53PM - Showed off a lengthy, non-gameplay trailer for Ryse.

More Ryse stuff... Soldier talking to other soldiers. Looks like gameplay now. If so, really impressive visuals if the console can keep up with this and this isn't just complete crap.

Combat looks like Batman meets God of War but the animations are really looking sped up and awkward at times. Quick time style finishers.

Player formed a line with his fellow soldiers to form a shield wall and actively blocked incoming arrow volleys.

12:58PM - Still more Ryse gameplay. More quick time style finishing moves on enemies.

1:01PM - Cevat Yurli takes the stage to talk about Ryse and the "amazing power of the Xbox One" and the latest Crytek engine.

Exclusive to Xbox One at the console's launch. Playable at E3.

1:02PM - Killer Instinct is returning to the Xbox One.

1:02PM - Sunset Overdrive is an open world game from Insomniac Games exclusive to Xbox One.

Looks like some hyper stylized free running action shooter game. Guy running all around rooftops, catches a shotgun midair, killing some mutants, joined by others, attaching a powerup to his gun and wiping out a block of foes.

1:05PM - Forza Motorsport 5?

Yeah, it's Forza 5. Showing off the McLaren somethingorother. I'm not a car guy.

Drivatar? Is that what he said? FFS...

A "Drivatar" learns from your racing style.

1:10PM - Another trailer.

Cloud powered opponents. Hundreds of cars. Lots of circuits.

"Fast and fair" multiplayer.

Damage modeling is what I guess the last wreck at the end of the trailer was supposed to show? I dunno.

Phil Harrison is on stage, promises Forza at Xbox One launch.

Talking how Microsoft has been integral to helping out the Indie developers. Says they are continuing this trend with Xbox One.

(Feeling the heat from the Indie devs that talked crap about your console a few weeks ago, eh Phil?)

1:13PM - It's a trailer for Minecraft...

Minecraft: Xbox One Edition offers bigger maps.

... WELP.

1:13PM - Sam Lake from Remedy is taking the stage. OH MY GOD, IT'S MAX PAYNE! I bet he never gets that.

Showing off Quantum Break now.

Your actions in the game dictate how a TV show plays out.

Showing off some gameplay now.

Guy talking to a doctor he pulled out of a freeze in time. Hmm.

Really uncanny valley levels of visuals on the characters though.

1:17PM - Showed off some brief trailer for "D4". Cartoon/cel-shaded visuals. Not much substance shown.

So Microsoft talked up their commitment to Indie and only showed off Minecraft? FFS, Microsoft.

1:18PM - Project Spark lets you verbally create some basic worlds. Fine tune things.

1:20PM - "Rock and roll" joke when talking about a rock they turned into a moving pet.

Basically, you create a world, you create the inhabitants and towns, then you fight other creatures. You can upgrade your creatures to giant allies.

Think of the game as a blank canvas for making your own worlds. It will be for Xbox One and Windows 8.

Seems like Microsoft's answer to Little Big Planet, only on a much grander scale. Showing what can be made with the game's editor such as 2D side scrolling games, a virtual piano, tons of other living worlds, etc.

It actually looks interesting.

1:23PM - Marc Whitten takes the stage.

1:24PM - Oh yay, Smartglass integration might actually be somewhat useful for the Xbox One. It'll have everything they promised for the Xbox 360 use of Smart Glass that never, ever happened.

Demoing Ryse features for Smartglass, including some timeline features.

They went directly into a Killer Instinct match that was found in the background while she was playing Ryse.

OH GOD THE BANTER BETWEEN THESE TWO IS TERRIBLE. SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP!

1:27PM - Uploading via "Upload Studio" that lets you upload your favorite game highlights. Uploaded "to the cloud" (take another shot).

1:28PM - Partnered with Twitch for live broadcasting your games to the world.

More scripted crap. SHUUUUUUUUUT UUUUUUUUUUUUUP!

1:28PM - Xbox One will feature "unlimited" friends... Really, they don't have actual numbers shown.

Real world currency for purchases, no more MS Points.

1:29PM - Crimson Dragon, new game from people behind Panzer Dragoon, coming to Xbox One exclusively. This trailer has no sound... There is zero sound for the trailer.

1:31PM - Dead Rising 3 from Capcom.

Nick Ramos is the new character. Open world game.

Nick looks like he's a mechanic.

There are a lot of zombies. Destructible fences are in at least. Enter into various houses.

Crafting is here, doesn't look like you need a work bench anymore for at least some things.

He made a tactical handgun (flashlight on a gun for indoor, dark area fighting).

No really, there are a LOT of zombies being shown. They're distracted by things that aren't you quite easily.

World filled with 100s of weapons that you can customize, including the "Sledge Saw" that they just made.

You can again drive cars around the area.

Smartglass lets you call in some big guns, including artillery support. City looks sufficiently big enough.

Weird how a mechanic in that city has access to that though...

1:38PM - The Witcher 3 is coming to the XBone. DirectX 11 visuals, open world, a bunch of stuff we already knew.

They will be porting the inventory and other stuff to the Xbox Smartglass. How much do you want to bet MS told these studios to do this and they'll get a bunch of extra money if they did?

Gameplay video for The Witcher 3 at least!

Multi-region open world.

Lots of horseback riding. Boat riding. Nudity. Combat.

Ah God that looks good.

1:41PM - Battlefield 4 gameplay being shown at 60FPS...

1:42PM - Still have some sound issue. The trailers have zero sound. Come on...

1:43PM - Finally fixed.

Single player gameplay. It looks beautiful, as you would expect it to. But I'm guessing not many of you will play through the SP campaign.

Also, they're on a boat. It's sinking instead of going fast. The boat just split in two, wow...

DICE seems to be really proud of their jet damage models.

Lots of gunfire, lots of fire in general. Lots of smoke. I dunno guys, I'm not seeing any fish AI here. I dunno about this!

Water looks really good though, lots of ocean swells. Transitions directly into a jet boat combat sequence. Cue the BF4 logo and theme. Looks good.

Hold on.

Map packs releasing first on Xbox One again...

1:49PM - More videogames! A new rogue like called "Below" just shown off briefly. Overhead view.

Microsoft is buying five new studios for more VIDEOGAMES. GUYS, XBONE HAS GAMES! LOOK AT THEM!

1:52PM - Showed a Black Tusk Studio game... that... showed nothing really.

Another Microsoft Studio game here. It's really sandy and windy.

What the shit?! Master Chief?! He woke some giant mechanical bird ship thing from the sand?

What the hell did I just watch? What the hell was that?!

Was that Halo 5? Was it Spartan Assault? Was it... just Halo? WHAT IS IT?!

New Halo on XBone. They're not giving it a name outside of "Halo" right now. 60FPS, uses all that clouds and stuff, blah blah blah.

... Wait.

Is it just called Halo? Not Halo 5? Not Halo: One?

1:56PM - $499 (USD; 499 Euros, 420 Pounds in UK)
Coming this November.

1:57PM - One more exclusive title to show.

Oh gee, it's Respawn Entertainment's game. We knew this already too. But whatever, let's watch it.

Soldier being all sentimental over a grave site, promising he wasn't going to get in one of those machines again. I bet it's a giant combat mech.

Hey look, it's a giant combat mech. There's also free running/wall running foot soldiers.

Lots of explosions.

Mechs look to be very mobile and responsive.

It's Titanfall. It's a One exclusive. Try to act surprised.

2:00PM - More TitanFall gameplay.

Jumping from the back of a ship. Infantry looking at a guy in a big mech. Ships jumping into the airspace abov e. Don't forget that this is multiplayer.

Oh great, numbers that pop up when you get kills. I guess some things you can't shake from your past...

You call in your Titan from the sky. It drops down. You get in. The Titan looks to have some unique abilities such as catching bullets and throwing them back at your enemy, ripping the opponents out of their cockpits, squishing infantry.

You can hop out of your mech at any time to get back on foot and then get back into it.

Emergency eject lets you shoot up and out of your Titan to rain down fire from above as you fall back down, maybe landing on another Titan to take it out.

Titanfall is coming Spring 2014 for the Xbox One.

2:05PM - Shows over.

Well, why not coment this thread in real time too. heheh
1-why World of tanks for 360? wouldn't it be better for them if it was for XOne? Specially competing with the handfull of F2P games already confirmed for PS4.

2-Ryse's concept was changed quite a lot from this. The graphics are looking pretty good

3- Summer Overdrive. Is this an APB for consoles?

4- Forza motorsport looks so realistic! And that learning AI clound is sounding very interesting

5- Minecraft was so lulzy

6- Project spark... Wasn't there f2p browser cloud game that did this already? I need to go search for it after this

7-Hahahahah no sound

8- DR3 !!! New engine is looking great but that glass breaking was awful. EXCLUSIVE FOR XONE? NOOOOO

9- bf3 at 60frames per second on xbox??? Your move COD.
I really freaking hope that falling animation and roll isn't just a scripted sequence, and is something you can do in MP too.

10- halo, another joke about 60fps

11- xbox costs 500 euros!

12- Titanfall? so many great looking games exclusive for xbox
LOL... $499.

Sony could come out with a $450 console and it would be huge for them.

At least they showed off games. They did NOT talk about used games, DRM, game rentals, etc etc etc.

Wasn't the PS3 more expensive than xbox on release? I'm curious to see what's going to happen.

$500? Holy cow. Might as well spend a few extra hundred and buy a PC.

In my opinion, the only cool games:

Battlefield 4
Witcher 3
Titanfall
MGS

Only one of those is an exclusive.

EDIT: And who came up with that pricing structure? 499 euros is about $660...

Ok, as exclusives I'm only interested in Halo.
Ryse only got me more excited for Rome 2.
Titanfall will be on PC at sometime, or at least that's what I remember reading on the leaked stuff.

499? ... I mean, I wouldn't mind spending it but so far it looks like it's not worth it.

Your move Sony.

So Respawn Entertainment noticed Shogo: Mobile Armor Division and realized a sequel hasn't been made... Funny how Titan Computer published the ports; no relation whatsoever obviously, but the naming is kind of amusing for its very slight coincidence.

jimykx: PS3 was $499 and $599 for 20 GB and 60 GB model respectively. Sony loses $306.85 per 20 GB model and $241.35 per 60 GB model, and relies on economies of scale to recoup their losses. You can imagine what a great idea this is for Microsoft.

Oh yeah, Dead Rising looks good, but if it's time based like the previous games ... just no.

And Witcher 3 looks dope, but that's a PC game for me.

And MGSV looks AWESOME.
