  • Oculus Rift Gets a Guillotine Simulator

Welcome to Disunion, a guillotine simulator from Indie developers Andre Berlemont, Erkki Trummal and Morten Brunbjerg. The "game" was created in just two days during the Exile Game Jam.

As the victim, you're free to look out towards the crowd, down into the basket, or even up at your impending doom. Obviously you don't need to lean over the chairs to experience it, but it undoubtedly adds to the immersion effect.

Right now, the group hasn't mentioned if this is anything more than a little demo created only for the Game Jam or a part of something else. The Oculus Rift isn't even in the hands of the general public yet and we're already seeing some very clever ideas coming out for it.

I dont think I want that.

What's next, the water boarding simulator? The electric chair simulator? The operating table simulator?

The Oculus Rift simulator. Complete with a virtual chair, desk, and computer for you to develop homebrew apps. DLC of licensed games to be used in the virtual computer coming soon. Beware of side-effects such as difficulty in quitting the simulator due to the hall of mirrors effect. Workarounds consist of pulling on your hair until you finally pull your hair instead of ripping off yet another Oculus Rift headset.
