Gamer Faked Paralysis to Scam Over $20,000 from Fans

Angel "zilianOP" Hamilton was a regular on Twitch.tv. He was best known for being paralyzed from the waist down and bound to a wheelchair. Hamilton used his fame on Twitch and the kind hearts of his fans to raise over $20,000 in donations before his scam became apparent.

How was his scam revealed? During a live broadcast, Hamilton miraculously stood up and walked out of frame on camera. Smooth. During the event, his girlfriend who also takes part of the streams was heard to exclaim "oh my God!" as he walked off. Before returning, Hamilton tilted the camera away before sitting back down in his wheelchair.

His girlfriend, Breanna "Panthoria" claims that Hamilton was undergoing physiotherapy to regain some control over his lower half, though still remained largely paralyzed. Hamilton himself said that he managed to stand but then immediately fell over after his dog allegedly knocked over its water bowl.

The problem is, the video shows that isn't the case as noted by the reflection of Hamilton in the fish tank walking off to the right side of the room.

Both Hamilton and Breanna have had their Twitch accounts banned for violating the terms of service.
"The Twitch broadcaster, Zilianop, did indeed have his channel closed and his partnership contract terminated on the basis of fraud. Moving forward, we'll be offering refunds to those who subscribed to his channel through Twitch. We have zero tolerance for this type of behavior and the character demonstrated in this situation is truly reprehensible."

The money raised was allegedly used for a $2,000 wheelchair and $5,000 for a house in order to live closer to his girlfriend, Breanna.

Well at this point, he might as well quickly register on YouTube and upload a video of him doing the Gangnam Style dance just to troll everyone with his remaining time, before any further legal consequences happen against him (or worse, personal information researched and shared). Least we know the economy is doing well enough to share 20 grand around.

(I would prefer riverdancing, but I think Gangnam Style is more relevant and easier to pull off for a troll dance.)

I like how everyone gets used to broadcasting to the point that they would do things like watch porn (from two different people!), or... Forget they're supposed to be handicapped. I love Twitch news.
