DICE, the makers of the popular Battlefield series, have expressed an interest in the VR headset called Oculus Rift. In speaking with Eurogamer, Creative Director Frank Vitz expressed his appreciation of the headset.
To that end, DICE is looking for a master thesis student to look into and work on Oculus Rift support for the Frostbite Engine. Their job wouldn't simply be to include support for Frostbite Engine title, but to make it work "really well."
DICE says they have at least four dev kits for Oculus Rift on order. Battlefield 4 played with an Oculus Rift VR headset? Sign me up!
"It should be awesome. BF3 in [Stereoscopic 3D] works great and our current version of the engine has all of that support still. There are multiple titles in the works that would be awesome with the Rift."

"You and I both know how tricky 3D can be with different kinds of game play cameras. I have worked with several VR headsets in the past and they all fell short."
