Wha...? Really? So it's 2013 and Half-Life just came out? Hm, alright let's roll with it.
Valve has apparently been working on a Linux version of the original Half-Life. They released it yesterday to those currently testing out the Linux beta of Steam.
The game, originally released back in 1998, is still running on the "GoldSrc" engine and is still considered a beta. To anybody with the Steam Linux beta, feel free to share below how your experience with it has been.
This move may offer hints that Valve will bring over some older titles to Linux, as part of their efforts to make the Linux OS a viable option for gaming in the coming years.
