It seems as though The War Z can no longer be purchased through Steam, at least for the time being. This move seems to have happened a few minutes ago now and may actually be due to an investigation into moderation concerns on the War Z's Steam Community page.

What followed was 24 pages of examples, links, and rational anger over the actions of what moderator, kewk, did to a number of players and those merely commenting in the Community.
About 15 minutes ago (at the time of this posting), The War Z can no longer be purchased through Steam. It no longer shows up under Steam's "New Releases" on the main page. Accessing The War Z's Steam page directly yields no means to purchase the game, though the landing page still remains.
This may very well simply be a temporary removal while Valve continues their investigation into the matter.

Several users have raised concerns about censorship or other posters being banned unfairly. We take these complaints seriously and are investigating the issue.
If you have specific examples of what you feel was unfair or incorrect moderation on this forum, please post them in this thread (or on my profile) and we'll have a look. There has been a lot of traffic in this forum - a new topic every minute for the last day and a half, with thousands of replies. All that makes moderation a very difficult task.
If you have concerns or criticisms about the game, you are free to post those in this forum. However, please keep your posts on-topic and about the game. There's no reason to personally insult other posters, the developers, or the moderators. Please keep the discussion rules and guidelines in mind when posting.
