Bastion Announcer Coming to Dota 2

This might be the greatest news I've heard in ages. The Dota 2 community requested it and Valve has delivered. Yes, the announcer from Bastion will be added to Dota 2 as a piece of DLC.

He will narrate just about everything that goes on in the game. From events, to team selection, to even things typed in chat.

There are tons of other lines not quoted above. All of which can be found here thanks to Reddit. There is no word yet on whether or not this DLC will be free or come at a cost. However, I can imagine a ton of people will want to buy this regardless of price.

Ugh - this makes me want to get Dota just for the announcer. Are these games fun for people who haven't been playing them since the beginning?

Yeah, I'd say so. Everyone has to start playing somewhere. You can either learn by playing solo against bots or do a bot match with you and other humans on one side and bots on the other before going to actual PvP.

I'm not sure that I'd have the time that someone else would, and I'm afraid I'd just give up and go back to cs anyway. Thanks, but I think it'd be wasted on me! If you can't find anyone else to give it to, though, I'll gladly take it. I'll pm your my e-mail and you can decide. :)
