Over 750,000 Xbox 360 Consoles Sold for Black Friday

Though not coming anywhere close to last year's record of 960,000 units sold, the Xbox 360 still managed to exceed expectations with 750,000 consoles sold for the 2012 Black Friday sales week.

Really, that's mighty impressive when you consider a few things here. For one thing, this is the eighth year that the Xbox 360 was on sale for a Black Friday sale. Also, the Nintendo Wii U offered up a new form of competition for the platform, though that only sold 400,000 units in its launch week.

A few other facts show that on Sunday alone, there were more than 14 million people on Xbox Live. Compared to 2011, the entertainment applications saw an increase in usage of 43%. Compared to last year, Xbox Live Gold subscriptions were up more than 50%.

I feel like it's a bunch of PS3 owners who are thinking "heck, it's that cheap? I guess I'll get it so I can play all those xbox games I never thought I'd get a chance to play." I feel the same way about the PS3 deal that was $199 with 4 games. ......but I don't have an extra $199...
