Though not coming anywhere close to last year's record of 960,000 units sold, the Xbox 360 still managed to exceed expectations with 750,000 consoles sold for the 2012 Black Friday sales week.
Really, that's mighty impressive when you consider a few things here. For one thing, this is the eighth year that the Xbox 360 was on sale for a Black Friday sale. Also, the Nintendo Wii U offered up a new form of competition for the platform, though that only sold 400,000 units in its launch week.
A few other facts show that on Sunday alone, there were more than 14 million people on Xbox Live. Compared to 2011, the entertainment applications saw an increase in usage of 43%. Compared to last year, Xbox Live Gold subscriptions were up more than 50%.
