Natural Selection 2 Released on Steam

Natural Selection 2 has been released on Steam a bit earlier than originally expected. The stand-alone sequel to the insanely popular Half-Life 1 modification uses a custom game engine and expands upon the RTS-FPS hybrid gameplay that made the original so popular.

The Kharaa presence has been confirmed onboard. Before we lost our readings, sensors showed multiple forms moving at incredible speed through the ventilation shafts and maintenance tubes. Expect immediate and intense conflict the moment you deploy.

Control the resources. Defend your base. Listen to your commander. Be prepared to face more and more powerful alien foes. Learn their many forms and abilities, and how to counter them. Find the heart of the Kharaa threat, and eradicate it. The battle begins now. Its outcome rests in your hands.

To pick up the game, simply head on over to the Natural Selection 2 page on Steam!

Natural Selection was the first encounter. Natural Selection 2 is the war... At long last, after the first encounter has been confirmed for years now... The war finally begins and we finally get to use the flamethrower (and hooray for no gimmick lasers/scopes). I wonder what MonsieurEvil would say about the sequel's release? I miss his PR blitzes whenever Natural Selection gets a milestone release.
