Learn from the Counter-Strike Pros in the First CS:GO Pro Tip Series - Semphis

Valve has just released the first video in a planned series from professional players in the Counter-Strike world. The pro gamers have come from all over to provide every player with a series of tips and tricks to help the every day Joe Schmo improve their game.

The first installment comes courtesy of Area 51's Semphis. He explains how and why he makes use of the AK-47 during his competitive matches. He also details how vital knowing where the new flashbang and smoke locations are in Inferno.

Also a quick note from Valve here: They will be at the ESWC in Paris in just a few weeks' time. They will have an opportunity to film some of the best Counter-Strike teams in the world and would like to know if there are specific tips or strategies that you would like to have the pros discuss on camera. Have to say that I really like Valve's video techniques in this. They're becoming quite good at producing films, be they within Source or live-action.

Expanding on your point, I appreciate how VALVe clarifies and simplifies some of his explanations with visual cues (zoom-in, overhead view with directional measurements, highlight, etc.) as I had difficulty understanding some of his fast explanations (to maintain a concise video); I suspect VALVe has staff from film backgrounds rather than game development, which apparently consists of more than the guy (Hollywood special effects background) who left because he dislikes moving between offices with a desk on wheels.

Yeah, I've played CS off and on for years now and I still appreciated the visual cues they provided. I had no idea what short/medium/long range meant in CS but they simplified it with pretty pictures which made it click.
