Update: It seems as though Christian trolled everyone just for a few more hits to his Twitter account. His latest Tweets (1,2) state the following:

Original: Someone known on Twitter simply as Christian G. (@onlinegott) has reportedly snagged three very vague and obscure images from a private showing at Gamescom 2012. The showing, if his Twitter remarks hold any water, showcased Half-Life 3 in some capacity.
The Tweets that go along with the above three images read:
Now, we've been through this before. So far as Valve kept saying, the only thing discussed at Gamescom 2012 were Steam related news, and not Half-Life 3. However, this random person is now claiming to have these three shots and is making claims they're for Half-Life 3. This person does apparently work for a fairly large German gaming news site, for whatever that's worth.
I'm merely serving as a messenger of the news and speculation as it comes in.
