Nvidia to Reveal Something Possibly Big Tomorrow (Totally Not Half-Life 3)

Tomorrow at Nvidia's GeForce LAN/NVIDIA Gaming Festival in Shanghai, the company is set to reveal something big. Something massive. To put it simply, it's probably nothing really notable at all but they're hyping it up something fierce.

Their Facebook page originally posted a "IT'S COMING" message about a week ago. Now, a couple of additional images have popped up with a crowbar and some sketches.

The only thing Nvidia would comment on are the following items:

• It is bigger than a bread box.
• It is a mineral.
• It is NOT a vegetable
• Gordon assumes it's not an animal, either, but all we know what they say about assuming things.

For whatever reason, some people seem to think this is some Half-Life 3 or Left 4 Dead 3 reveal. Chances are, this isn't anything of the sort. Simply because it has a crowbar and the word "zombies" doesn't mean Valve is going to make their huge announcement at an Nvidia event on the other side of the world. In all likelihood it's probably just an announcement for another entry in the GTX 6xx lineup of videocards.

Look for their big reveal tomorrow night (April 28th) around 7:30PM PST.

The HL connection is strong with not only the crowbar and zombies but the reference to Gordon and that image on the crowbar to me looks like a headcrab. HL3? I really doubt it. A new partnership with Valve for somethign big? Possible. Something else totally random nobody has thought about? probably.

I'm going to laugh if it's the "Steam Box" co-developed with VALVe (and is either the entire announcement or it's bundled with the sequel to HL2: EP2). Especially since VALVe was supposedly in the conceptual phases at best.

Oh man guys, it was totally the GTX 690 reveal (dual GTX 680's on one card essentially). 4GB I believe? I'm glad I wasn't anticipating anything here because I heard their presentation was an absolute mess. Their stream kept 404'ing, crashing, poorly put together presentations, more stream crashes, etc. All for a GTX 690 that most everyone expected.
