I'm playing on ultra settings and it looks great. I'm really enjoying it.

The Gamestop where I bought it is having a midnight release. However, I'm in EST time zone, so if I were to go pick it up at midnight, all I could do is play the singleplayer, I suppose, til 3am. Then again, maybe Origin won't even let me play it until 3AM. I'm sure thousands of people on the east coast will have this issue.

Well, actually I won't have the issue at all. I have a job and all, so i'll be sound asleep when it comes out, and will pick it up the next day after work. I mean, really, what's the rush? I played BF2 for 5 years. I'm sure I'll play BF3 just as long, so I have plenty of time to play it as long as I'm alive! :)

American servers are up and it's insanely easy to get the game working. It's nothing illegal, you'll never get banned.

Just to be on the safe side, I chartered a private jet to fly me to Korea so I could activate my game there.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Of course you can risk your security if you go through a VPN or proxy

Didnt we conclude that the login was SSL encrypted?
The risk from using a proxy seems minimal, but you can change you password after the activation, if you are worried.

The major risk from VPN is whatever software you need to install, but that is not needed with a proxy.

Usually the software only configures the connection and nothing more. I used flyvpn or whatever but unlike everyone else that was having problems with the program, I just manually configured and joined using windows 7 networking.

For me all work perfect with SSL based VPN.I am using it just for case but I heard that PPTP based VPN's works too. SSL have great encryption 2048 bits and use UDP ports so it looks like any connection with https. Super VPN offer Korean based server and also they have Indonesia and Japan too.
