Both Karkand and a locked down Titan have spam and people hiding in buildings/crates by glitching.

What about double Rush. Each side has a set of M-comm´s to destroy.
    Just a thought!

Well I dont play conquest much cos it's the one with the stupid rules anyways, Rush is pretty much vanilla all the way.

Oasis and Harvest have conquest modes, but even in Rush mode they are very big and open. Oasis gets choppers for both sides for two sets of Mcomms and there are plenty of armor vehicles to go around in.

Heavy Metal is the most open map in conquest, but not the biggest. And even tough it's still three damn flags in a row the map is at least big enough that you can't mortar one flag form the other wthout exposing yourself.

And no man... no map is LIKE Karkand. they are more like Road to jalalabad if anything. Nothing can be as spammy as Karkand except a locked down Titan with one console to go.

I honestly couldn't tell you about BC2 cause I frankly was appalled that pretty much every map felt like Karkand and I couldn't stand to play the game when the bigger maps finally came out. I love the armor combat in BC2, so I did try them and enjoyed them, but I didn't come across a lot of those maps playing (Rush mode is to popular, not enough congest).

BF2 still crashes for me. At least BC2 is somewhat stable and always has been. Never had crashing problems with it.

Not to mention DICE's marvelous track record with patches and game releases going off without a hitch (being sarcastic). Some of the worse game breaking patches in any games I've played were all in the BF series, not to mention BF2 wouldn't even start out of the box, it had to be patched, the patch that BF2: Special Forces applied on install broke the game and the reason why BF2142 played so much better then BF2 was simply because they nerfed the texture quality (sorta like BF Free2play, compared to BF2). Lets not forget the BFBC2 launch, that went just swimmingly. I do not hold my breath when it comes to DICE making promises.

Despite all this, I'm still looking forward to BF3, just like I looked forward to any other BF game in the past.
Well compared to BF2 and 2142 BC2 played magnificiently at launch. For starters, the damn thing didn't crash on me every 5 minutes, it was more like every 15 minutes so there was a noticeable improvement RIGHT THERE.

BF2 kept crashing like 2 years into the game's life, so much that it became an accepted feature.

Thats all very true, but look at how well they handled BC2 AFTER release. A number of patches and unlocked content. Yeah, there was a marketing snafu on that, but I dont blame DICE entirely on that one. The DLC was well done and is very seamless as well as how well the game plays today. Theyve had some hiccups, but they have also learned a thing or two and are going the right direction. Doesnt mean it will be perfect and I suspect there will be trouble playing the first two weeks of release, but then it wouldn't be Battlefield

    Crunch

To all of you arguing on how the game feels like BC, I only have to say this ... you've only played/watched one map!

When there is chaos all around with tanks, LAVs, jets, choppers, humvees, boats, and 64 player destruction, on another HUGE open map, you'll know it feels like a true BF.
