I'm sure that one of the reasons that TDM is being added is to appeal to the CoD fanbase, but TDM is a staple in the majority of games out there, not just CoD. And TDM simply means two teams killing each other with no other objectives, not small maps, no vehicles, etc. Just imagine conquest without the bottlenecks and the forced fighting around a certain area, and that is likely what TDM would be like. Give it time, it may actually be fun.

But if i wanted to play TDM i would just play CoD or any other game. This is battlefield, it has never been about just killing people its been about teamplay and coordinating teamplay. Thats what differentiates BF from other games and keeps it unique.

Don't want TDM? THEN DON'T PLAY TDM!

You'd swear that by the way some of you are taking this, you'd think that TDM is the only mode of gameplay in BF3 and that you have NO option to play any other mode whatsoever.

You mean 90% of everyone playing BF2?

TDM is a good addition for those that would enjoy it. DICE/EA are going big on the game and wants to reach a whole new audience and having an easy to understand game mode like TDM will help people get into the game.

Maybe I should have made that more clear. Those were the gametypes for 1942. Battlefield started with a TDM mode.

This is the issue of TDM. I will be looking for a good 64 player conquest on a huge map and what i will have is 95% of people on small urban maps playing TDM... and the other 5 % will be from servers across the world that will have like 200 ping...

Lol no, he meant that BF1942 also has TDM so it's not a strange thing a BF get this game mode again.
