I would like to get back to pc gaming and get away from the consoles but no games have really made me wanna choose pc gaming over console gaming lately. I am sure BF3 will change this. Been thinking about going back to BF2 though. But once I have played games with better graphics its hard for me to go back. Also if I let my consoles just sit there gathering dust i feel like I am wasting my money for some reason.

For me its the exact opposite, I don't see a reason to get a console because none of those games interest me and all the games that do are released on the PC as well. I was looking forward to Fable 3 when it initially promised cross platform support, but that was thrown out in favor of giving the PC a "unique" experience. I acknowledge that the vast user base is on consoles and the reason is that its easy to get into, hardware is relatively cheap, no messy hardware and driver issues to deal with. The game doesn't need to be an epic machine killing monster of a game so that I need the latest and greatest to play it, I wanna enjoy the game and not get a headache trying to get it to run. COD has had the right balance of eye candy (story and action) and performance that it invites a huge player base, as long as I get my custom controls, graphics settings and dedicated servers I'm happy.

That last part is something Tryarch messed with in the last game (performance) and IW in the one before that (dedicated servers).

No, its for the biggest share of people, the xbox crowd. Its nonstop action on the single player for pre-order on Xbox 360 only.

Granted there are still plenty of people who will buy and enjoy it but many of them know they are paying for the same game over and over. Im a member of many console forums that discuss CoD and other games and plenty are saying that CoD is just the same reworked game and they want to see something different. I dont think MW3 will give them that.

Why do people keep comparing this to bf3?... MW3 looks awesome, another mindless installment u can turn on and blow sh*t up. Awesome. If you want strategy and "team work" play bf instead.

Two completely different games, get over it.

Also the graphics look great just like they did in all the other call of duties, I'd rather them keep it how it is with minimal improvements then go down the Crysis path.

Why change something that works? The last 4 COD games have made millions with only a few tweaks to the game engine.

There are a lot of companies out there that still use DOS only because it still works for what they need to do so why change to Xp or Windows 7 which will cost the company money when DOS will get the job done.

They will continue to use the same engine until it no longer brings in money for them.

Maybe after IW gets done with the MW trilogy and Treyarch gets done with their next installment of COD then they might build or use a new engine.

Also, to me , cod is like a chocolate that never ends. A chocolate that uses the exact same sugar and cocoa and the only different thing is the name, so basicaly the flavour is allways the same. Probably the sugar is getting a little more refined over the years.. But if the chocolate is allways the same, and i allways need to buy that same chocolate that never ends, and it gets expensivier, then i aint going to buy the same chocolate over and over, and i'm just gonna buy a diferent chocolate that actually bothers at having different flavours and ingredients, and that is probably cheaper.That's how i feel about call of duty, it's like they waste less money on the making of the game, because the engine, animations etc get recicled, and that makes me feel like the game has no effort on it, and feels like a game that has some new looking stuff into it and that wants people to buy it because of all the fame COD4 had. So thats why i prefer to buy an actuall new game, that took for sure more than 1 year in it's making and that feels like a real investment. To me, the real deal was cod4,that was the awesome ground breaking game, with a new and awesome gameplay and graphics to it, but that was back in 2007. Yes the graphics may get a little better, but the gameplay to me it's the same. Make another awesome and different game , add new stuff that has never been made before, actually give another big step forward in the gaming industry and i can change my mind on that.
