Well unfortunately jimy, They are right. Why change what works? Even on this cynical PC centric forum there are still people who are going to buy it. I'm one of them though. I want to say things like "Yeah, CoD sucks" (though I wouldnt, as I would be a hippocrate as I plan on getting it to hopefully cap off the series... Im just making a point) and have people say "Yeah, I agree with you!", but its not going to do anything. If we don't like it, then leave. No need to ***** about it... especially since this forum is slowly dieing...

Also, with the chocolate analogy, people buy the same brand of something all the time for years on end untill the day they die. Its a fact of life.

It's more like saying you can only listen to one band inside the same music type. And that's possible.

I don't know how you all feel, but I can tell you I certainly am getting sick of fighting terrorists in the middle-east, fighting the Russians, fighting in post-apocalyptic or destroyed New York City, and lousy locations designed to "Shock" you like an airport shoot-out.

Can we get something original for once? How about WW1 trench warfare, or a make-believe war with fake factions fighting in a terrain type we haven't tried yet or that hasn't been abused to death.

My money says this game is going to be full of lame perks, too-easily achieved ranks, easy challenges or "contracts", 0-recoil weapons, constant gratification for the kids with headshot, buzzkill, long-shot, etc. splattered onto your cluttered screen every 2 seconds.

Screw Call of Duty, I hope Battlefield 3 stays clear of the path of arcade kids and opts for a slightly more realistic but fun approach to gaming. I'd like to see a remake of Battlefield 2 with better hitboxes, better graphics, more gameplay modes, etc.

Well to me COD:BO SP was a change of pace for once. Even though I didn't finish it. If people keep paying for the same game, well more or less the same game, each time then they will keep making the same game over and over until people lose interest in it. Remember when most fps games were WW2 a few years ago and and after a while people got tired of that genre, well I think it will be the same for this type of genre you describe above. After a while people wil get tired of it.

Maybe one day they will finally make a WW1 game (and don't tell it's trenches camp because it wasn't just that and a game doesn't need to follow strict reality).

hopefully once the new consoles come out activision will make new games. until then all of the 12 year old consolers will be happy with this recycled poo.

lol, the Kinect is suppose to add 5+ years to the life of the xbox 360. Both PS3 and xbox 360 are only now beginning to recoup the looses from development and initial launch. E3 we will see if we will get some new consoles, but its a pretty sure bet that if one announces a new console, within 4 months the others will have announced there follow up consoles. Until then it looks grim, for both Microsoft and Sony, announcing there next major console means loosing sales for there current console.

Somehow, I think they have the sales figures and appropriate timing figured out by now on when to announce new hardware.
