On stage at the EA E3 press conference we announced a new expansion of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 with a new take on a Battlefield franchise favourite, Vietnam. In Battlefield Bad Company 2 Vietnam you get to enter the jungle warfare environment as either the U.S. Marines or North Vietnamese Army (NVA). The expansion pack contains 4 brand new maps built in Frostbite including the popular Conquest and Rush game modes as well as Vietnam specific weapons, vehicles, persistence, unlocks as well as new awards, achievements and trophies.

Lol, that's about 3 more than they need. Considering most people will settle into playing 1, maybe 2 maps at most.

I loved BF Vietnam so MUCH, that this is going to be a treat no mater how few maps they give!!!

That intro sent shivers down my spine along with the female voice. Both in BF:V

Well, thats too bad they decided to stick with the expansion pack method. So much for keeping the community together. They lasted 3 months.

This may sound like sour grapes, but maybe they will have the bugs worked out of the game by the release of the expansion.

I was thinking about my post and to be fair, DICE or EA has not stated the expansion pack is going to cost money. So my last post I am ASSuming that they are going to charge.

I guess I am just upset with the fact that I would buy the Vietnam pack and get to play it for about a month before the servers go offline and its back to vanilla BC2.

E3 is a very console oriented event and has been for years, pretty much all of the PC games on there are multi-platform games.

Anyway, I'm really excited about this. As long as it's pretty cheap I'm probably getting it.

Also this trailer is just great, love how the music drowns out in the mayhem at the end.

EDIT: Competing with Activision again? I don't really mind.

I hope they have the radios working in all of the vehicles. I loved listening to tunes while strafing the enemies of democracy.

Give it a rest.

They've got the Vietnam expansion and they're working on the multiplayer for Medal of Honor. Just because they didn't have what YOU wanted doesn't equate to a "fail."
