Heard my reasoning for what? I've said so many times that the five list consists of BFBC, BFBC2, the korean game, BF heroes, and BF1943.

At one point you even thought that the "korean game" was actually BF: Heroes because you said it uses the same kind of concepts that korean FPS games use like microtransactions. You were wrong about that, too, remember? Cmon alex, I thought you were smarter than this? It's like you've never read any of the articles I've linked to many times before...

EA announced at the start of the year its first entry in the free-to-play market would be (1)Battlefield Heroes, and the publisher is set to release (2)Battlefield: Bad Company for home consoles this Friday.

But the team is also at work on three other games based on the series, including a (3)traditional core game aimed at consoles, and a new collaboration with Neowiz specifically for the (4)Korean market.

(1) BF heroes
(2) BF bad company
(3) battlefield bad company 2 but then they decided to also go PC with it
(4) BF game for the koreans
(5) ??? at the time we all thought that this was going to be the BF2 sequel but now that they've announced BF1943 the 5th spot is taken

Wouldn't the release to Bad Company Technically open up a spot on the dice top 5? I mean it still stands as one of the original 5 on the list.

Stop using an article from June 2008 to make a point. Things change. Was BFBC2 really in development when they said that, even though BFBC hadn't even been released yet? How long ago did they start working on BF1943? You don't know any of that. Stop acting like DICE must still rigidly adhere to this magical List of Five from 9 months ago.

I don't see why not? They could have easily had the plans already. Just because the game wasn't made, doesn't mean they weren't working on something. If they wanted bad company to be a series, then they would have already had the plans for a sequel, right?

It's just that they said "5 battlefield games in developement" and 5 battlefield games have since been announced.

I think you take these things too seriously Tomeis. Times change, projects get cancelled. We know BF3 is coming, it would be silly for it not to or to think it isn't.

I completely agree, it is obvious that something for the hardcore gamers of the Battlefield series is coming to the PC, they said so how many damn times? So people even if the 5 spots are taken, the video game industry is always changing and making more games. So there is something else coming for us hardcore fans, even if it is not on the stupid list.

Why would I need to connect it to the list when 5 new BF titles have already been announced? The list is complete. Obviously any new ones won't be for a while, and obviously won't be on the list... :laugh:

But to be honest with you, I actually hope DICE proves me wrong about this. Because when that happens, "BF3" has been announced.

I know EA was making a new need for speed at the same time they were making need for speed undercover undercover, i think the new game they were making was need for speed shift.

But i have no input in the 5 titles though, i don't know what the 5 titles were going to be, i forgot.

When do you think the release for BF3 could be? Summer 2010?

Doubtful. BC2 is probably going to be released near the end of 2009 or early 2010, and will be on all platforms including PC. Even if BF3 was secretly in development, Summer 2010 would be too soon after BC2.

Unlike some others, I do believe that a "proper" BF3 will eventually be made, but the economic situation right now isn't favourable for it, so I think it will be quite some time before we see it. I think that's part of the reason for games like BF1943 and BC2 coming to PC...to help people stay interested, and have something new to play until that time comes.

Too late. When I play any FPS game, I use The List in order to place top 5 every round.

When I'm in an argument with someone about something, like sports, I bring up The List. They're easily beaten after that.

When I pushed my brother from the darkness it was because he insulted The List.
