"Feeling like I should clarify something here. I’m not really saying anything new… Ben Cousins already said back last summer that 5 Battlefield titles were in development. Do the math on that, and you’ll see we’re talking about the same ones. Patrick Liu also mentioned this, calling it “big plans“."

We already know what numbers 1-4 four is, number five is the unknown, I personally suspect it to be BF3. I also have a hunch that Battlefield 3 will be announced when the Final Battlefield 2 patch is released.
          No, it isn't.

          1. BC1
          2. BC2
          3. Heroes
          4. 1943
          5. Korean game

It's been over six months since DICE's executive producer Ben Cousins teased that -- counting Battlefield: Bad Company and Battlefield Heroes -- the studio was hard at work on a total of five games in the Battlefield series. Since then, Bad Company has enjoyed brief success at retail, while Heroes underwent on-again, off-again beta testing -- but what of those other three Battlefield titles? EA revealed two pieces of the DICE puzzle this morning when they finally took the wraps off of Battlefield 1943 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
The 5th being the Korean game.

Gamesindustry reports that EA DICE is currently working on a total of five titles in the Battlefield multiplayer shooter franchise. This was revealed by executive producer Ben Cousins during a keynote at Paris GDC. He said that in addition to the previously announced Battlefield Heroes and Battlefield Bad Company, the company is working on three unannounced Battlefield titles.

A new traditional core game bound for home consoles, and another title developed in collaboration with South Korea-based online game developer Neowiz aimed at the Korean games market are in development.

That list was out way way after BC1 had hit the market. There's still a fifth unconfirmed game.

We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.

You don't seem to understand that BC1 was part of the announcement. I posted 2 articles to prove that to you.

              Read very slowly and carefully.

Here is yet another in case it still hasn't sunk in yet (this one is before they announced 1943 or BC2).

EA's DICE studio executive producer Ben Cousins said that they're currently at work on five games in the series in total, including Heroes and Bad Company. Of the three unannounced titles, one is said to be a more traditional Battlefield game aimed at consoles, and a second will be focused on the Korean market, a region accustomed to free-play games with paid extras.

As a trailer it's nice graphically, but didn't show off anything relating to the game. You probably could've made the same thing with BF2 and some movie editing software.

Also what does the guy smoking have to do with the cycle of war ????, war does not have a cycle, you live, you fight a war, and you die, or you live, you fight a war, and you live, that's all, no cycle.
He respawned. Duh. It's a Battlefield game, what do you expect?

Incorrect. Neowiz are developing the Korean game, not DICE.

The key word that you're leaving out is collaboration.

Every announcement story I find announces the Korean game as part of the 5, saying DICE is collaborating with Neowiz for the Korean market. I've quoted 4 stories now that all say it.

this argument is pointless, in the blog he clearly said there is something in the works for hardcore bf fans, its 99,5% that its the next bf

When do you think the release for BF3 could be? Summer 2010?

Dang, lot of people viewing this, rofl.

Anyway, what's that crowd? Sir. Elxx and JoMaMaz should be sent by TGN to E3 to get MW2 and BC2 hands-on coverage? Hmm, interesting idea.

For now your right. Battlefield 3 is not officially part of the 5 games in development, we'll just have to see what happens.

I still believe it to be in development, but they just wont say anything about it right now.
