Re: Battlefield 1943 Developer Walkthrough
Looks slightly cramped, definately designed for the 24 or so players, not the 64+.
It's interesting, that game had a fair bit of potential as a new BF1942, but they've gone and dumbed it down so much they've ruined it.
I expect it'll be overpriced though, for what limited content there is. Anything over £10 would be a complete rip-off and really asking much more than £5 is a joke.Comment

Re: Battlefield 1943 Developer Walkthrough
Sigh. Kar98 sniper..is German.. In Battlefield 1942 they where lazy and re-used German stuff for Japan, Allied stuff for Russia etc. etc. But it's only the pacific now. Can't they just put in an Arasaki.. Intentionally wrong equipment. And those semi-auto Japanese rifles, Type 5, never left the prototype stage, and that was in 1944 not 1943. God, I'm about to kill myself :|:Comment

Re: Battlefield 1943 Developer Walkthrough
Anyone noticed the planes at the menu screen? British Spitfire V US-labled and german Focke Wulf 190. Those are plains from the "European Theatre" and not from the "Pacific Theatre". Like "Battlefield 1943: Pacific" and... "Battlefield 1943: Europe"? ^^ Rumors, more and more rumors...Comment

Re: Battlefield 1943 Developer Walkthrough
Oh dear... by simplifying it, they seem to have removed everything that made BF so good.

Re: Battlefield 1943 Developer Walkthrough
I don't understand those of you holding out hope for BC2. BC2 is just as much a console game as 1943. The reason they gave the BC series its own name is because it isn't part of the original BF series. Its a completely different CONSOLE series. There for, I don't see how BC2 could be a replacement for BF2 at all. They are NOTHING alike.Comment

Re: Battlefield 1943 Developer Walkthrough
There is currently no information whatsoever on BC2, so I'm not yet prepared to condemn and denounce it a "console-driven dumbed-down battlefield game".I don't understand those of you holding out hope for BC2. What you're saying may well be true, sometimes I think it is.
But I can still hope.Comment

This game is too dumbed down and just seems like it should be a free game like Battlefield Heroes. I'm really disappointed with DICE for making such a horrible move. I can't even find anything in this game that impresses me. I admit that there are one or two small new features I like in this game, but everything else is just far below the expectations I had for DICE's new BF releases. Paying for this game would just be a waste of money and i'm therefore not purchasing it as i'm not going to support this kind of low-standard game. Aside from the game being too dumbed down and not having any competition due to such low quality, this most likely isn't Battlefield 3 due to the overall low standards. However, I really hope Battlefield 3 isn't going to be a dumbed down piece of crap like this game is.I don't understand those of you holding out hope for BC2. Re: Battlefield 1943 Developer Walkthrough
Just because the game is targeted at another audience, doesn't mean it's low quality. It certainly looks like a solid game for the price.
BFBC2 on PC is gonna be epic regardless of player numbers in my opinion. BF1943 isn't looking too bad but not my cup of tea.Comment

Re: Battlefield 1943 Developer Walkthrough
It's weird though. The unlimited ammo thing is something not even console games do. That's just crossing a line imo.Comment

Re: Battlefield 1943 Developer Walkthrough
Hmmm Yeah - looks too simple and consoley to me. Graphics are not impressive. Only 3 classes and unlimited ammo. Think I'll be giving this one a miss.
Desperately need a BF2/2142 killer but this ain't it. Jeez it's been nearly 3 years since 2142 - DICE are resting on their laurels.Comment
