You guys can pretty much assume they will raise the player amount for PC.

IT was my idea to put it on xbox live, you can even look it up. back when they had someon the site taking questions about battlefield bad company i asked if they had considered making battlefield 1942 for xbox360 live since it was too come out on the first xbox but got canceled. the guy said he would have to bring it up to the staff/team/ea whoever. that was like 6-8 months ago about the time it must have taken them to do it. just thought you should know who to give the credit to.

I'm assuming the wake map in 1943 has been cut down. It would just be way too big for only 24 people.

Thats what i am getting at if 1942's wake island is the same size as BF2's wake island and that size is playable with 64... If they shrunk the map in 1943 then it would not be wake anymore but i dont know mini wake or something.

So if they have not altered the size of the map then it is not to small for a larger player count than 24.(Rather than what someone suggested that the maps would be unplayable with a larger player count on pc due to the map size being too small)

your wrong its not a game but a mod of bad company. if i could go back and get the news file of the q&a i would be glad to post it where i said it was my idea and that they had not come up with it on there own. i also had a feeling that this would come up by someone on here when it did come out. its a mod so it does not take that long given the amount of content,its on live and not a stand alone disc, it has come after bad company, they are already working on a 1942 type game called heros so why put the same kind of game out...i don't know maybe because i said they should on xbox live! and wtf are they doing now? they are putting it on xbox live! If it walks like a duck,looks like a duck and quacks like a duck...its a duck!!!:nod:

This game will have been under works for more than 6-8 months

^^ hmm, but it is the first time the frostbite engine has been used for a PC game. And i would class as a full game, if still lacking abit of content to be the full cost.

well this breaks the streak of 64player games on PC for BF. but don't be surprised when BC2 brings it back.

If Battlefield 1943 doesnt have 64 players on PC then I also expect BC 2 to have 64 players on the PC. We just dont know until we have more info. Maybe someone can shoot some video at comic con tomorrow of battlefield 1943.

While I was pretty disappointed with the announcement of Battlefield 1943 (which just seems like a re-hash of Heroes to me, minus the silly cartoon look), I'm excited that Bad Company 2 is coming to PC. I tried Bad Company out on Xbox 360, and while the game played great, the controller was way too slow/jerky for me, so I could never get into the game. But with BF: BC2 coming out to PC, the mouse/keyboard control setup will likely make it a blast, so at least I can look forward to that.

BFBC2 is coming out in Spring 2010... so I wouldn't say they rush it. BF1943 is coming out this summer but by the looks of it, not too much content either.

DICE has over 250 employees though so they can handle developing multiple games at once.
