    This.

If they say they will not increase players, then you may rage!
    I bloody hope so.

The reason BF was so good is because of the large numbers of players. Even if the servers only have about 16 players on them its usually still set to big maps. Unless the maps in this game are large the game will lose the feeling of a battlefield, and it will become more of just a small scale team death match, just like every other shooter out there.

BF3 is not coming. Wake up. And if it is, its not coming for a very very long time.
        In this economy, whats cheaper?

A $1000 gaming PC that could handle frostbite engine with a full 64 player server? Everything on high? Dynamic lights? Shadows?

        or

A cheapy console that runs for 300?

If you were a parent what would you choose?

EA and other major companies realize that the economy is doing horribly bad, and they invest in whats safest. The console market. This is our BF3 ladies and gentlemen.
        Stop dreaming.

Heh! Third version of Wake Island. Lazy coding? Or some headhoncho at Dice is totally idolate of this spot.

Wake in the Real: Lat/Longs for in e.g. Google Earth: 19.279708, 166.650053

I am a gamer whether it be consoles or PC, so either way I win. Some of so called hardcore fanboy pcers are missing out on some great games.

                  24 man...
12 a side, 3 in aircraft, 3 in tanks, 4 waiting for aircraft...

It's gonna be awfully hard and boring between being spawn raped by bombs to find those 2 people actually fighting.

If it's going to be limited to something ludicrous like 12 a side the maps need to be just a bit bigger than COD4s... Gonna be so boring with such large maps and 24man servers.

Even if it does look pretty. (They got the tree's right finally \o/)

It does look pretty. Perhaps they can pull something new and exciting out of the old Wake posterior. For a few bucks, I'm willing to give it a go... especially if they partner with Steam and allow for more missions to just be added on. That would be a win in my book.

Would really like to see around 12 maps.
If they want to save $ on developing more maps they could include a map editor and have a contest for the best maps and add them in a patch! :salute:
24 man is OK, maybe 32 would be better. As one guy said there would be few guys actually with a gun in their hands fighting :p

Most have a server browser or give code to the top 3rd party game browsers asap.

P.S. Tell my wife that playing.. I mean fighting, helps pay the bills.

I agree with 32 players for all consoles, not just PC. It'd be great but networking and lag might be a problem.

12 maps is a bit much for a $15-20 game, no? 2142 only had 10 maps on release, and it was a full $50 game.

True, for $20 it's not going to have as many maps. I think the best way to go, would be to include a map editor & include the best user maps into a patch. I know building a map editor would take a lot of time/$. maybe charge extra for the "good" editor then.

I just don't see much play time or varied interest in 3 maps. :dead:

Thought: BF 1943 may just be a Preview Demo for BF3/BF: BC2
