Yeah I almost think so too Alex. I think DICE realises themselves that making a game with 24 players for the PC would be a mistake - except for BF 1943 maybe as it's a smaller game.

    There's hope gentlemen.

Perhaps DICE are just using a sky box until they have properly coded the sky?

Excuse them for not having the game finished 12 months before it's released. I hate to burst your bubble, but 99% of game screenshots you see on announcement are faked/photoshopped. They're just concept releases.

Heroes was a test for the free 1943?

1943 perhaps a test bed for Bad Company 2 this Christmas.

Bad Company will be the full 64player game we wished for!!!
    That's what I'm hoping for.

I'm actually getting pretty pumped for this :awes Even if they only allow 24 players I think I'm gonna buy it, I always liked small servers better anyway. BFBC was great, and on PC it would be epic.

When is it coming out though? I thought I read spring 2010 somewhere but the official site says:

"To get ready for assault this winter, players can prepare for action in Battlefield 1943"

Ok Maybe Dice is trying to be Call of duty..24 players on Xbox/PS3,64 on PC and maybe does anyone remember them suppose leaked info of awhile back ago about this new battlefield game for the PC?Well what if that info was for Battlefield Bad Company 2 for the PC.

so this is what we get after waiting 4 years, well its better then nothing, i guess dice wants to fully take the advantage of frostbite with these games and then move to another level, which will be BF3 but not for awhile.

I wouldn't jump to that conclusion. Operation Flashpoint 2 is set to be a multi-platform game, but it looks like it's still going to pack some serious punch.

With that being said, it's a much more "serious" game than Bad Company. My main point, however, is that it's possible to have some serious games running on all the platforms.

I thought about it for awhile, and I think it could be pretty cool. I would like things to be a lot different in this one then in the first one. I also would like to get rid of the grain effect they have. If not then at least have the option to turn it off. Just think of the possibility BC with graphics on max. I cant wait I just wish they released more screen shots.

CoD4 never was about large scale battles though - but there are lots of custom maps that easily could hold 50 players. It's just this stupid ranked/unranked crap that keeps people from playing them.

I think BF:1943 was something they originally was planning on releasing only for consoles, but decided to give it to us PC gamers anyway just so we have something to entertain ourselves with until BC2 comes along. 24 player cap seems reasonable for BF:1943 since overall it is a very small game but if they do the same with BC2... DICE were a lot worse than I thought. :|:
