Left 4 Dead Demo Planned for Early November

The demo of Left 4 Dead has a more narrowed time frame of release thanks to fresh information given to IGN. Valve's Doug Lombardi says that the demo for Left 4 Dead will be released in early November.

He also shares a bit on what to expect in the demo, in case you missed it previously.
The main part of the game has you play as one of four survivors who are immune to the virus that has turned most of the population into a variety of mutant zombies.

The game begins — roughly 2 weeks after the break out of the virus - with the first of four expansive campaigns (five maps in each campaign). The first campaign is the hospital (officially dubbed, 'No Mercy' - as you're challenged to make it to the top of Mercy Hospital).

The demo's "early November" release time frame is a lot more narrow than simply stating "prior to the game's release." We'll keep you updated once we hear a definitive date.

Zombie mod, Zombie panic, Zombie.... whatever = free, almost the same gameplay as this, so L4D should be special for something that those Zombie mods don't have.

Having played both, ... eh. You'll see the differences, trust me.
