:laugh:sorry but this makes me laugh. From my experiences, the BF games are far from "noob friendly easy-to-learn" games. It requires precise aim, ammo conservation (reloading a half full clip loses the whole clip), teamwork, proper use of cover and so on. This is best illustrated by other games (for example, Team Fortress 2) which contains certain weapons that require little skill to use properly: The rocket launcher (just shoot in their general direction and you'll hurt them), the chaingun (just hold down shoot and kill everything around you) and so on.

it might be all too easy for some players at some point i guess, but thats when some guy gets in a tank and kicks the *** out of those players, thats the magic of BF, vehicles that ruin the day for any guy that thinks he can kill everyone.
vehicles rock, hope there are many on this game :)Comment

I'll try this game, but it looks like something to keep the PC BF community occupied..
I doubt that with Bad Company, Mirror's Edge and Heros all under development that BF3 will be realeased anytime soon.
Im guessing BF3 will probably be realeased Christmas 2010.Comment

QFT. Finally someone who sees the light.Originally posted by Sir. RataboomAaaaand this is why I've not played an online game in over a year. No, it's not the games, like Battlefield Heroes. It's how almost everyone acts like they have the experience of a veteran game producer; One who holds a tremendous amount of stock in all the game producers and developers, at that.
Something happens that you don't like, and cries of "How DARE they do this to us!" bellow. You don't have some vast fortune invested into DICE, and they certainly don't owe you anything because you bought a few of their previous released works. Any money or time you spent was for a single product. I could be wrong, tho. If you all do happen to own stock in the company, then by all means, hold a shareholders meeting and make some complaints. :yay:
You also assume too much. Nothing is that obvious, and there is no way you could pull every single detail from a press release. I'm not defending anything, odds are you people are not going to have fun playing BF:H. You're not the target demographic.Comment

Have to disagree with that. When comparing it with CoD. CoD is a very noob game as the weapons don't really deviate/miss all you have to do is hold the trigger down. Try doing that on BF and your bullets are missing by miles. It is much easier for someone new to CoD to do good than someone to the BF series.Anyone wondering how they are going to noob this game down more? I mean, there is already terrible cone of fire, and slow butt movement, and the jump button might as well be the suicide button, whats next? everyone who goes into a firefight pulls a lever, and a coin is flipped? its getting ridiculous how easy BF games have gotten starting from BF2.Comment

It helps that the maps are incredibly small compared to Battlefield, and the hit detection is almost spot on for pings <= 60. Being able to perk yourself up to your play strengths instead of relying completely on the mechanics of a specific weapon doesn't hurt either.Comment

Who knows, I may or may not like it. I'll wait until I see the game first before I refuel the flame thrower.Originally posted by [MyIS]AlexWell said sir :salute:
One point i would raise is that i don't think the game was appropriate for the "Battlefield" name.
The communities and image surrounding that franchise is of realism/fun, and Heroes doesn't tick one of those boxes. It was perhaps, in my opinion, a chance to open up a new franchise, but, i'm not EA, and i'm pretty sure they know more than me
So, by all means comment on the game, but there is no need for all the bashing going on here! BF3 is still in production, so go hype that
But you are right though the name should have been changed to something other than using battlefield in the title. The cartoonish style is drastically different to share the name.Comment

I still think this game is going to be a huge disappointment, i give it 2 weeks before it fizzles out and BF3 is announced.
Theres no way im paying for a "better" player.Comment

But they also said that players could buy "convenience" items e.g. an item that would double your XP rate temporarily. So indirectly you can pay your way through the ranks. Not unlikely how you doubled your unlock rate by purchasing Special Forces for BF2.Comment

Don't waste your money. Oops, forgot, it's free. They said it is a dumbed down version of battlefield??? Hmm... How simple can it get? Point and shot without missing while holding the trigger down and hitting everything you aim at. Fewer controls to learn that a three year old can figure out....
You never get something for nothing without somebody paying for it... I don't think it is about gaining an advantage in the game rather its taking advantage of the consumer:
Introducing... death by a thousand micro payments. Tah Dah! Instant cash cow ready to be milked.Comment

The noobs are what kept me playing BF2 until now. They were sitting ducks for us long range snipers.
However, once that skill is attained, you feel like a god of sorts.:laugh:sorry but this makes me laugh. From my experiences, the BF games are far from "noob friendly easy-to-learn" games. There is no feeling like being able to insta-kill people from a range they can't see you at, let alone hit you.

"Micro-Transactions"?
lets see, I thought you said free?... Hmmmm, Ok I'd like a better weapon or a new map. With EA downloader still a non working, bandwith limited piece of junk, my hopes of easy transactions with EA is zero.
"Free" Will just an excuse to invade your system. Nothing from EA is free. Expect the most apalling AD model, a DRM nightmare, followed by steady increases in the "micro fees" I wouldnt put it past them to charge a login fee!
"This game will look like and feel like Team Fortress 2" Great orignial thinking. Good work there EA/Dice
"Games for Windows" thats the kicker folks... time to wake up and smell Microsoft Vista and EA in bed. Look here: www.battlefield-heroes.com
No, EA has burnt every bridge with me as a customer. So has Dice by selling out to them... Rushed to release, buggy and unsupported games are the hallmark of EA/Dice.
I'd be happy to pay $500 for a great well supported game that rocks... But even giving it away free (EA/Dice) wont help if you dont change your ways...
I will so break open the Dom, when EA Worldwide burns to dust and blows away. They have ruined gamming these last 4-5years. Never have so few idiots, cost so many great players their enjoyment.
Note to DICE: Break with EA, work hard on orignial game concept and then support it... make money the honest way.Comment
