Battlefield 3 Available for Pre-Order?

I personally prefer Vista. The looks and the entire layout is soooo much nicer. But, it's just too slow compared to XP, and i'm always wary of using these funky tuning programs.

i think theres a good reason why BF3 would only be released on vista, think about it 80 players destroying the enviroment at the same time, only DX 10 is able to make it possible online, same thing in crysis dx 10 servers and 9. not sure though, so in crysis dx 10 servers can u blow the trees and pick up objects?

Battlefield 3 won't be DX10. It won't be Vista only either, that would significantly reduce the potential customer base.

Vista is not bad, it's just slow. Almost everything that was in XP is in Vista, but hidden. However, if I were to upgrade, only Ultimate would be worth it.

Vista's gamer population is slowly, I mean slowly growing. You will not see a Vista only game for yeas, or never. XP will always be a gamers choice and XP is the most popular. Making a game Vista/DX10 only would be dumb, and draw no money. EA is smarter than that. Vista was a failure, everybody knows. Game company's are not just going to Vista, when they know Vista is crap + Vista is full of bugs.

Also, you say rumors? Hint: rumor.... durr.

Frostbite engine, is not official for BF3, it is for BF:BC for consoles. So, get it right before you talk smack to a admin or any member here.

If BF3 isn't released till the start of 2009 it would only make sense for it to be compatible for Vista and up... although I agree with you I just see Microsoft pumping some suggestions to game makers and software companies to push for Vista or higher only support to boost sales.
