what game will bring you the same playing experience that you got in BF2 if BF3 wont, quake wars didn't, crysis didn't, cod4 didn't, stop complaining, BF2 is a unique game and I'm sure BF3 will be even better, I personally cant wait for BF3 and there are good chances the game will be released before Christmas next year

what about all the players who love BF2, they need something to look forward to, what would everyone say if EA said that there wont be BF3?

Since BF3 will probably require DX10 and Vista, I'm sure there will be a lot of people unable to run it, like me, plus I refuse to buy anymore EA products. I'll stick with BF2 like people have stuck with BF1942.

I have to agree, BF is without a doubt the king of it's genre, FFOW, QW:ET tired it, but none of them come close.

I also can hardly wait for BF3, my only hope is that they don't ruin it by million expansions and booster packs.

I love what DICE did with BF, by separating the consoles and PCs, both get proper versions.

            OT:

I stopped looking at other games and just settled with the best games in different genres like infantry - COD, infantry tactical(mission) - CSS, War sim/arcade - BF2.
Until someone released a game that beats the kings of each genre and start reading about it on forums and stuff, I'm not even bothering with any other franchise.

I think it'll run with XP and DX9 support too, otherwise they'd be limiting their sales considerably.

It'll probably be like Crysis is under DX9. It looks like nothing special or even not as good as other titles that have been out there.

Would you stop your constant bashing of Battlefield 3 and EA releases. From your consistent moaning, we know you hate anything to do with the series, but there is absolutely no need for these constant remarks reminding us.

Your entitled to say you don't like it, but you seem to go on, and on, and on about it, now it's time to stop.

If i see another bashing post by you, i shall delete it.

March 28 is the release date for Bad Company so I'm guessing it will be changed to Q4 of 2008.

Well. Let's stop the complaining posts now. If you don't like it, say so, but leave it at that. I don't want to have to lock it.

Well if the rumour is to be believed, an official announcement will be made sometime in January, so I guess we all need to stay tuned.

im with sars, i'd rather wait for BF3 to be clean of bugs and not rushed, then to have it rushed just because some impatient people are lame. and it better not be on vista otherwise Fk that.

Why not Vista? After all you can't expect everyone to stay in the past? Windows 7 is due to release sometime in 2010. If the game makers were to stay in the past and not force upgrades then we would all still be playing with Pent 1's or 2's with a GeForce FX4200. I just can't understand why people can't accept change as it is...however, the big thing to hope for is that EA/Dice doesn't screw up the game by doing this rank system like they did with Bf2 and 2142. Thats the one single thing that killed gameplay, teamwork, and any hope in having a great mod that people would play rather than being hooked on shiny jpeg medals and make believe ranks. Perhaps I sound like a broken record but its all too much of a reality of truth in what I say but some here would be fully against it since they must have that "stat" fix like those WoW players must have that quest fix they so much desire.

People would gladly upgrade to a new OS, IF it was worth it, Vista is not worth it, it's a step back actually.

Maybe Windows 7 will be an improvement justifying the upgrade but till then, I'm sticking to XP.

I agree somewhat..however Vista is just a upgraded version of Xp..the only thing I dislike is the ram usage for searching..its not needed or needs to have a "off" button.

However you can't ignore the fact that future games may be supported only on Vista and future OS's.

It's not even an upgrade, they took out some of the features that were very useful, like for example you can't configure explorer toolbar, it's just too cluttered, you can't add buttons like "move to", "copy to", things are unnecessarilly complicated.

But yea I do agree and realize that future games will probably stop supporting XP especially after DX10 will become mainstream.
