I bet 90% of the said features will be scraped. I remember when bf2142 was just confirmed and Ea said bf2142 will have working toilets that flush. I"m serious they said that in some news update.
This is a bad idea imo, they have yet to finish fixing battlefield 2 with all it's bugs. With just two factions how the hell is that gonna be any fun without the U.S.?
The U.S. is in NATO. On another note, I'm glad to see 80 player maps. They could probably fit all Vista owners on one server!

Relax mkay, I for one am happy about BF3, and I can't wait to see what it will offer, maybe I won't like it, but at least, I'm going to reserve the judgment for - after I've seen/tried it.
However, I will agree on the Vista point there with you, it MUST support XP.
And there are too few maps, only 8!?
And those unlocks will probably(definitely) come in a way of pooster packs.

i got a feeling if this rumor is true, that 8 mapps to start with & a couple or more boosters like with af & eu.
i donno, i agree , we ough to wait & see before casting it down. if theres one thing i know i will like is that its not in a 2142 setting.
i like how in this forum everyone is like " EA sucks, another garbage game" yet on the crysis forums people is like " EA roxz, best game ever!" hehe people still dont fully get that DICE made the BF series not EA, they just own them
I agree about the 40 people. That is kinda weak. I have always wanted larger maps and more people. One thing I find about QuakeWars and it's total of 24 or 32 people, it moves fast because everything is focused in a certain area. But I love the openness of BF2. Firefights break out all over the place. I love the larger fights where you are always watching out for something.
I was hoping technology would set us free, but it looking more like we are regressing. Maybe I should break out my Pentium Pro with my Viper V330...oh wait, it said Vista...
But anyone talking about DirectX10 needs to remember OSX does not use that instruction sets.
I go back to my old statement...I don't think I am going to buy EA for a very long time....and that includes Crysis and Farcry. And damn my sig is already coming a reality!!!!
