Our hopes lies with Forgotten Hope 2 and maybe some new version of Project Reality.

"Space_future battles" and sh1t!

And Arma is still too unplayable to substitute BF2. And they are totally 2 different styles of games.

But even if mods fail us....thank god there is still some (MO)HONOR(A) out there!

Darn...I thought there would be more patches...BF2 still has many bugs...lameo EA...all they care about is money.Well...BF2142 is also buggy, but its dying out more than BF2. BF2142 is recently new but is quickly losing players hahaha. I'll still play BF2 even though it has bugs cuz of several new mods coming out. I can't wait till FH2 comes out and other neat mods out there. I have played PR, PoE2, NaW, USI, OPK, Allied intent 2. EA should spent more time fixing a game instead of releasing it so fast with so many bugs on it that could have been prevented. I ain't buying anymore Ea game until they get their act together and fix those bugs! I'll just play other fps games. :salute:

Well, this isn't something in which isn't a surprise or shouldn't really be. To be honest, EA got there money and they ruined DICE though they have another company so, thats good.

Oh another note, is there anything to the rumor that they were at one time going to allow other maps to be played on Ranked servers? I just say it because there is allot of awesome maps out there that simply don't get played.

Iam looking forward to Frontline Warfare which is being made by the Desert Conflict guys of BF1942 mod.

I don't think that will ever come about. I am sure you could pester Colin, but I did for months and months and months. I have a feeling that is also a dead duck...but also the only think that would have given BF2 some fresh legs to run with for a few more years.

we should have put in a class action against ea and dice when bf2 was first released,im sure the 2 million people who bought bf2 will agree that they feel ripped off in some way cuz of all the bugs and things they said were in bf2,bf3 had better be a free game..lol
and for all those exited about arma...lol...its really buggy...save your money,play bf2 mods till all the good games arrive next year..."F:FOW,cant wait!!!"..lol

The guys over at DigitalBattle have posted up a new article today stating that no more patches are planned for Battlefield 2. Have a look:

According to ex-DICE employees, there are no more patches planned for the bug-filled multiplayer shooter Battlefield 2. The former DICE members, who now formed their own studio, said via a forum release that patch 1.4 (released last November)was the last BF2 patch, and that all forces at DICE are focused on Battlefield 2142, which is, unfortunately, just as bug filled as its predecessor.

EA and DICE hasn’t mentioned anything about a patch ever since the last one, over six months ago. And they will probably never reveal that no further patches are planned, since that’ll take away the last hope BF2 players have. Since there most likely won’t be an announcement, this will technically remain a rumor forever, just as BF2 will technically remain a bug filled game.

Sad news to hear but I think everyone expected this for quite awhile now.
