Re: Forgotten Hope 2 Mod Update
like lobo said, we'll see when theyre released. in the meantime, making arbitrary prerequisites for realism seems wrong to me.
take the shotgun with crosshairs example. does it add or take away from realism? i say having them could add to realism in certain aspects. of course in real life you dont have them, but you also have other things to assist your aim. in real life you can feel where you're pointing. when you move it, it has weight and the feel of that can help you aim. you just dont get that in a game/sim. so, having a loose crosshair could make the player's overall aiming ability more accurate statistically.
for planes... do you want to fly for 1/2 hour or hours to reach a target? of course not. its a game right? games must take certain liberties to make them enjoyable and not just a complete sim. how different mods approach these issues are judgement calls on their part. so, saying "if it has x,y and z then its not real," isnt valid imo :)
