We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
I dont know whether EA did this in good intentions (unlikely) or if they were just trying to provide some ironic humour to the whole situation. Maybe it was an office prank gone too far.
Ah!!! so that is where the advertising money generated by ingame ad with 2142 went! To a system that does not really match up to the value brought by BF2s or BF2player. I guess it is a start, albeit a little late. But to be honest, even if this was the first site out with player stats 2 years ago, I think I still would have gravitated to something like BF2s, where everything is on one page with a clean layout.
Funny thing is... this is probably the first step to them cutting off the public feeds that sites we've grown to love - like BF2S.com and BF2Player.com - currently use.
I get the strange feeling that this is about to be our only choice for viewing stats... Let's see... that reminds me of another EA game where as I recall they don't allow a public feed of stats... hmm, what was that title called again? 21...something?
