It would also be really nice if you had a fixed view point on the scud/howitzer .

I can't believe you wasted that much time on this post. Yes they have an actual website, but it was getting hammered by people downloading it so I am sure thier webguy just redirected the site to the forums. Give it a day or so if your attention span can last that long and go back and enjoy. They have tons of content.

I am also amazed at people comparing this Alpha release with other mods that have had several releases. I miss the old Battlefield community...
I definitely know what you mean, we need more elitists in the community. Especially ones who signed up in march 2006 with 2 posts.

heheh, watch out for that pesky frogfoot swooping down from 900 feet to rain destruction, hehehe. gazala is a masterpiece, that one map alone is worth the wait. ive never seen gazala or lost village look so good!!!

If there are those out there that want slow boring gameplay, I'm sure they will have a home with FH2 (no offense).
However, if the DCon devs are trying to stay true to DC, then they should:

          1. Remove stamina bar completely
          2. Up the run speed like you said
          3. Decrease the jump height (DC's jump height was NOWHERE near as high as BF2's)

Plus I honestly can't remember if we could jump and shoot in DC. If we could I really dont remember seeing other players do it. Anyone know?

The question is, which DEV team or beta test group are you from? lol I haven't seen a fake account travesty like that in a while. There are plenty of people from other teams who openly mock and despise our presence, no need to hide it bro. :salute:

Theres a lot of work for us to do, but what some people dont like, is done unpurpose.

The weapons will kill you from very far away, so positioning yourself correctly, and understanding WHEN to fire on an enemy is important.

The vehicles need to haul ***, or the A-10 and Frog will eat you tear you apart (probably will anyways). Desert Conflicts don't have a lot of places to hide from air power, lol.

I am defending flags again (My DC specialty). I can hold the west flag on El Al with my grail and mines (plus that resupply crate) against most assaults. Its just like my game play in DC, and that was the point, for me at least.

If your in a server with no team play, then switch. The Team work for me has been great so far, just like old times.

You could jump and shoot in DC... we want to keep the good things that bf2 added in and bring back the stuff we liked, so opinions will vary on the stamina bar/sprinting. I personally think its a good thing (even tho it makes my hand hurt ) From what I understand, making it a constant jogging speed would require new animations for all the soldiers. Not an easy task.

I do agree that bf2's jump height is too high. I fear that reducing it may not mix in well with all of the bf2 statics that we use, like the fences, crates etc... Anyone tested that?

Yea, its weird, at the end of rounds I've been noticing a strange chat tendency, they say "gg!". Hmmm, its been a long time since I've seen that, I think I've forgotten its meaning

Oh man...geeks kill me. Be sure to post your post count from TotalBF2 on your resume. Everyone knows that the more the you post the more intelligent you are...

This guy was ragging on the DCON guys because he could not find any information on their website which happened to be down at the time and proceeded to talk about how the mod was over-hyped. Which tells me he has never even visited the site during the years of development, yet felt he was expert enough to comment on the group.

Don't you have some student loan to default on or something...

Right over your head. Get your head out of your ***, stop acting like an elitist and you're better than everyone, and then maybe you'll see how similar you are to the guy who was ragging on dcon.

Haha this thread even starts to resemble DCF during the good old days.

Good job devs although I'm not a fan of some of the statics (too low detail), it plays very similar to Desert Combat and I'm just a sucker for CTF. Congrats on your first release.

Thx bro, CTF is always a blast, especially on low grav LV CTF. Seriously, that is fun.

ANd yes, the salute was serious Spyro415 :)
