FH is a minority game and it will always be - and thank God for that, cause I don't want the average BF2 retards on my FH servers.

So true so frakn... true. Why stats are so importent these days is beyond me.
The POE2 team worked hard and long, very hard and long to bring the fans a totaly new experience to bf2 or at least a totaly free expansion to bf2 and yet player numbers these days hardly seem worth the effort the team put into it.
I still cant come to terms why DICE/EA has yet to let us (the modders) access the contraints.py so that mods can at least finish our "end of round" statistics.
If there is one thing that pokes me in the eye everytime i do play PoE:2 its all those N/A, N/A,N/A statistics you get at the end of round.

Not to mention POE2 has been out for a very long time now and have been shinning light on 2 of your products BF:V and BF:2, but yet you guys havnt given us the time of day to "spotlight" us. What gives. I know a little bit of spotlight might up our player numbers, throw us a bone here will ya!

That is really bad when the top mods for BF2 come out and say that Dice screwed them. I knew it was bad but I always thought the big guys got a lot of help. The biggest F U to mod teams in my opinion was with the stat whore system.

Please do not give up mod teams! Mods like POE and FH are what makes and will make BF2 worth the purchase! If only EA would give some real support.

Taking FH as an example, I see no reason why a full set of solid, well coded hand weapons, 4 or 5 good maps and several well coded vehicles shouldnt be considered a solid first release. The first release should outline and establish a mods gameplay, not its full content.

Ta da! That's what I was thinking, a teaser!..in not so many words! hehehe

Even a video showcasing some fighting...unless there already is something and I am not aware?!

EA marketing strategy is what made EA the giant empire they are today. Their company policy is to make money. Games are products to sell to teenagers and aged geeks. Teenagers for the most part have too much money and free time and a very short attention span. They are fast consumers, who move on to the "next big hype" which lasts for a couple of years, tops.

FH is not amod for EA's target. It demands knowledge of WW2 weaponry, geostrategic conflicts, and overall knowledge of history before and after that time span. Some teenagers and ww2-buffs have such knowledge, but not the great majority of teens. Most are plain dumb and uneducated.

Thats the truth IMO.
A mod like that need a lot of study to be done...historical etc. It is not done simple by replacing a n T-90 with a Panzer tank. And yes the majority of players are little fellas that want speed battles aka UT4 and quake.

I have a feeling that PR along with FH will be the only mods to stay in the scene for a long time after ppl forget what BF2 is....

I've said it before, as others have, Valve is brilliant at supporting the mod' teams efforts. Of course they ain't perfect either, but they make DICE/EA look pathetic. Their Steam updates often highlight mod' news/releases/updates.

Thing is though, none of you modders actually expected EA to bend over backwards for you though, really, did you? You knew it would be like this, but it's the game engine I suppose that keeps you here. Lets hope some of these future titles (Frontlines, Quake Wars, UT2007) give you as much, if not more, ability to mod' and get the benefits from it.

I for one dont want a demo/teaser..as it would be pretty pointless , as it would ruin it a bit when the full release comes out , but i mean if you croncikly want to play it ask a DEV if you can be a tester or somthing..
