I really doubt Dice/EA will take time off working on BF2142 to go bug hunting in a game that doesn't make them money anymore (BF2). Infact, I would be REALLY surprised if 1.4 was released before BF 2142, and if 1.4 was a patch that mattered and actually made the game STABLE.

I'm in BF 2142 beta and to be quite honest, the new "Titan" game mode that Dice and EA have hyped so much is not all that special. It gets pretty boring after a couple rounds.

By "exciting new gameplay" EA really means "stealing concepts from C&C Renegade, Tribes 2 and Sony's Planetside (that were exciting several years ago!)"

This isn't about creativity and unique gameplay, it's just about squeezing the 15 year old fanboys of all their mommy's allowance, and it really doesn't matter if a handful of BF 2 fans vow not to buy BF 2142, the mutually beneficial hype created by hundreds of gaming sites and fancy trailers is enough to make EA more easy money.

If BF2142 beta is any indication of the final game that's supposed to be out in October, all i have to say is that you'll be begging for the bugs of BF2 1.3 instead.

i hope and prey for Ai fix or return to Ai of b4 1.3 when Ai was good , sort off.

i think there too much hype about 2142, when in fact they NEVER fixed bf2, i see, some fans of bf2 in protest of 2142 until bf2 is fixed, i support u,

i hope and prey Ea can help us all.

will this be the second to last patch of Ea, or a few more, going back to 1942 hey havent updated that for a while, and hackors run wild, el amain hack in the main base, seen dudes rank up 82 kills in the wall, lets hope bf2 is updated when 2142 is released .

Good to hear that DICE Canada think that a stupid taunt function is worth putting all thier loyal customers through even more server crashes, CTDs and lost connections. :hmm::cry:

" As an update to progress with the delayed 1.4 patch, the patch has now passed initial re-testing but has yet to pass final approval before it is prepped for release. Is someone having a baby? Some crucial member slipped away on vacation? What is taking this long to fix? I really want to know!

Why aren't they releasing more betas so we can help them hurry this on?
I think Dice/EA have a totally different idea of what 'beta' means. For that matter what 'patch' means.

Maybe the free unlock you get when you pre-order BF2142 from certain companies is a special keycode that enables you to buy a subscription to FilePlanet and then download the patch :laugh:

I have a bad feeling we might have to actually BUY BF 2142 to get the 1.4 patch.

there seems to be a lot of talk about BF2142 these days .
but for one i couldnt care less about that game i want 1,4 .
fix the damn game we are playing now dont fog us of with whats new in BF2142 .
ESP if its going to need lots of updates like BF2 and will prob have its very own 1.3.
ah 1,3 we all love them crash to desktops dont we it just makes the game in my eyes :laugh:
what other game can you spend more time trying to get online than in game
its getting to the point where ya ota give out an award for putting up with 1.3.
5 crash to desktops in a row and you you get your VET 1.3 :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

if they didnt set a release date it would of been better... they should just release it when its ready instead of giving themselves a deadline which they passed days ago

what is taking so long with this patch to be released now?
there were reports of only 24 hours but it's been over a week!
surely there can't have been that many problems with it?

V1.0 was fine for me other than the overpowered BH

patches are supposed to fix things not make them worse

hope this wont be like patch 1.22 and patch 1.3
