Well congrates to TPG!
but I wonder about the clan selection as well...

The Perfect General not only already has 6 servers of there own, they also RENT gaming servers at TPGservers.com, and there also a RANKED server provider for BF2 servers...

Also the sponsorship went live on July 12th... yet TPG posted they won a server on July 7th..

I think nobody's trying to start ****, they just want some more insight as to how the selection process works. I'm assuming its a raffle-type system seeing as how TPG seems to have plenty of servers already. Not trying to start **** here, and I appreciate that MyIS is doing this, but just giving my two cents.

Supertech you have to look at this from a business point of view. I can almost promise that there are going to be a good amount of clans that get sponsored that have 5-10 Servers, and other sponsorships. The truth is, the clan is known. By myinternetservices.com sponsoring them they will get the hits they need to possibly make a sale and another customer. Yes myinternetservices.com is doing a contest however there ultimate goal just like any business is to expand and not just throw money away.

If they just sponsored clans that had no servers, little league experience, and not a solid foundation they have a good chance that they will not make anything off that clan – and the sponsorship could possibly be a waste to MIS. Yes this is a contest, however this isn’t just give to the needy. Plus bro there’s 99 more chances. Just sit back and relax.

They are not going to give you the insight on how the selection system works. You can tell by the application and requirements this is not a raffle-type sponsorship. Its sort of like applying for a job, you don’t know what they are looking for you are just hoping they will call you back.

People these servers are expensive. Just do some research on how much a dedicated server cost and the amount of clans they are going to sponsor.

For example:

Say a Decent Dedicated Server cost 290 Dollars a month. MIS has said that they will not fill a server past 128 Slots. So take 100 Clans Mutliply by 32 and you have 3200 Slots which comes out to 25 Servers. 25 Servers at 290 Dollars comes to a little over 7,000 dollars a month. Assumming all 100 Clans have there server active. Which won't happen for a couple of months. You are looking at 7000 dollars a month, which probably means they will be spending 20-30 Grand on this.

I would like to think that myinternetservices.com probably has support and sponorships on the side to help float the bill but regardless they are responsible for it all.

And yes some of you may say, they most likely own space at a Data Center. And that they don't have to pay for the monthly rentals. This is most likely true, but have you seen how much it cost to rent space?? And on top of it, if they are actually renting space they have to buy there own servers. So the cost of the bill may not be as much as 20-30 grand all togther when this is done and over with but it won't be cheap.

So with all this said, Give them a Break till its all done and over with. They are spending so much money. Just be thankful you have the chance to win and if it doesn't happen better luck next time. Complaining is not going to help you get sponsored, no matter how much **** you aren't trying to start

Yeah, that makes sense Frostesh. Wanna get the most publicity possible. Guess we're all just hoping for a sponsorship =p just standard human nature to feel greedy and try to find a reason why you should be rewarded.

I don't really think anyone was complaining, they were just wondering how the selections were made, yes it does seem a bit odd that a clan with so much already gets a sponsorship, and thats all people were asking. WHERES MY SERVER!!!!, I know its all done with a business in mind... gotta make money somehow... but to me it does seem a bit strange that a clan, who already RENTS gaming servers, gets the first sponsorship. Its kind of like GM giving Ford a brand new car.... ummm they make there own cars, so why would they need a free one?

You say its not complaining but it is. If you want to know how the selection process is, you can email them or pm them. There email contact information is in these forums and on there website at www.myinternetservices.com - And if you don't get a response its for a good reason. There is no reason to address this publicly. If they wanted the information to be known they would of. By even hinting at the statement publicly it looks like that person is complaining, that’s the way I saw it.

People are not meant to understand the process if they could understand the process they would know how to manipulate the system to get in.

And to be honest I truly hope more clans that have 10-20 servers get sponsored because they are the clans that are most likely to get better business so myinternetservices.com can run more sponsorship in the future, maybe geared at the clans that cannot afford a server.

You have to spend money to make money, but that statement is worthless if you are spending money in the wrong section. So before anyone post saying "That I am not complaining but...", all you should do is say.

Because there success and other clans success will determine if MIS will do this again in the future.

Im just saying..... people who already have dont appreciate like people who struggle to make the server dues every month. Think about it. I too am grateful for the opportunity just like everyone else here. I just know human nature and humans who DONT HAVE are generally more grateful and appreciative to their givers than ones who ALREADY HAVE. If it ends up being the same ol story where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer well then so be it. Im just asking for a little more insight when it comes to making these selections. Think outside the corporate box for once.

Also Just so I don't offend anyone. I am pointing out things that can hurt your chances of being sponsored. Please understand any negativity that MIS sees will hurt your chances of being sponsored - if you applied. If you have a question that could compromise the integrity of MIS, please email them, PM them or do it in a way that it is private. If they don't respond, don't make it public as you are sure to fry any chances you have left.

When you challenge there decisions, it looks bad on you. And I know I wouldn’t sponsor you if I was in there shoes.

So Be optimistic, be ecstatic. Because guys we have 99 days which means 99 clans.
