I too am not happy with the patch but at least i know where to direct my anger . For all you morons that keep saying EA screwed up, DICE are the programmers not EA. EA is the distributor, they have nothing to do with whats in the patch. Get your facts straight before you slander someones name!

EA own Dice. Apart from a legal definition they are one and the same. Dice rushed the patch so EA can release AF.

My browser has a mind of its own. I can click on the same line & each click shows details of a different server. The map picture does not match the map name in the browser & the server name in the browser bears no resemblance to the server logo. Seems to be pot luck which server I join & if it is populated!!

ok heres what we(the entire bf2 gaming community) do, everyone band together, and lets all revert back to 1.22, get everyone who has a server to revert back, etc. and then we'll alllll be happy. then maybe Egay will see that everyone thinks their dumbass patch takes it up the ass, and take an outsiders pov.

this is a sort of pointless patch, what squad ever uses DPVs seriously, why do you need a dpv dropped in, and dont say its cause dpvs could be dropped on ppl cause thats just retarted. also COOP CAME OUT ALREADY IN LIKE 3 mods. the coop mod, hard justice and one other one. dont act like this is so revolutionary coming out with coop when private mod teams with much less staff made em in a short time

I'm sure that the main reason for the patch is to merely get the game running on the same engine version that AF has been developed on. Do you remember the crappy patch before SF was released?

Add in some gimicky changes in reaction to Quake Wars, plus fixing some non-descript bugs & Bob's your uncle!

wow. this thing really blows. i am glad, however, that the squad spawning thing wasnt totally ruined, as i bet alot of you had hoped. of course, it was utterly retarded in that you cant even make a squad until you spawn. if you're under some heavy fire and you just have to make your squad right then, you're bummed. and i dont mean upset. i mean bummed as in ass-****ed. so. yep. let the hate mongering against EA continue!

unless you have had your head in the ground, spous of EA coverd this, the blogger said that EA had a habit of getting a game into the box and then stripping the dev team to just a few people. Hence we are mad at EA because they force 4 or 5 guys to support Battlefield 2, the rest they move elsewere.

And so we get 1.3, an underdeveloped product because it was both rushed and undermaned.

Ever since patch 1.2, a lot of BF2 players had extreme lag at any (and I emphasize any) setting, the lowest of the lowest setting on even some Alienware PCs. I have an XPS and I'm still lagging even with 1.22.

hey, that has been happening to me! and i have been getting tons of lag in the L96A1, but no other snipers. anyone else?
