What lag? lol

Ever since patch 1.2, a lot of BF2 players had extreme lag at any (and I emphasize any) setting, the lowest of the lowest setting on even some Alienware PCs. I have an XPS and I'm still lagging even with 1.22.

Just remember these ppl ... "EA" are calling themselves exit lvl developers when they didnt even make the d4mned game.... Trauma studios got bought out 2weeks before they went gold with it. Ea really needs to get their sh|te together... cause I've had nuff, Oh yea.. EA just Aquired Lionhead studios. Another game genre to screw all up like the rest.. all while they sit & get fat on it. Trauma was goin release much of the content for the most part undivided.. but now we'll have to pay to get simple updates that make the game actually run better.

I've never gotten any lag with the game, not when I had my 9800 pro (all settings on high, no AA) and defiantly none with my x1600pro (settings maxed out).

What I want to know is why the FCUK is it so dam big?????? 480 mbs , thats insane. Almost as big as the demo!!!!!!~

That's cause you grabbed the full patch, and the not the incremental. The incremental is only 80mb. The full patch is the 1.3 patch plus all the patches before that in one.

i installed the new patch but its not working, when i go to make a game it says there isnt any coop mode and also none of the servers are the same version. is this because it just came out? when i try to install the incremental again it says that i need patch 1.22 already, but before i had installed that and 1.3 today. i dont know what to do, where is the coop mode?????????

You're downloading the full patch. This includes all previous patches. The 1.3 patch is only 80mb.

From the community update in beginning of May EA said this about new features in the 1.3 patch.

NEW MAPS

* Operation Midnight Sun: The conflict spreads near the Pacific Ocean in a key battle for the Alaskan port of Valdez, where Chinese forces are attempting to secure much-needed fuel from the pipeline.
* Operation Harvest: The MEC army begins their march East towards the U.S. Capital, and American forces must stall the advance long enough for reinforcements to arrive.
* Operation Road Rage: The MEC forces have infiltrated deep into the USA, and are using the highways to move quickly towards key industrial sites that are dangerously near civilian areas.

To balance the wide-open tank battles with aerial firepower, six new vehicles will be introduced, including 3 scout helos such as the MD 530, Little Bird, and 3 ground attack aircraft like the A10 Warthog.

NOTHING OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THIS PATCH!!

really every time they laucnh a new patch, i've got problems with BF , first it was the invalid cd key thingy and now when i load'er up the screen goes black and than pops back into windows like i've done nothing , it's uninstalling and than reinstalling again and again and again!!!

Yes EA screwed up again, especially with taking AWAY our TACTIC called SQUAD HOPPING!!!:thatsbad:
I'm not going to get BF2142, rather play BF2 mods instead which are way better that stupid vanilla BF2.

EA better not mess up Crysis like they are with the BF series. Other than BF42 which was great for it's time!
