I really hope it's just jeeps and stuff...I really hate it when people run off in a jeep and not wait for anyone else.

Is it me or anyone else worried that if it's tanks etc can you imagine stat padders? Have their high rank friend that's commander drop tanks etc to base camp? Especially if it only allows so many tanks out at once? So noob and his buddy hog the tanks away from battle while the rest of the team has no tanks?

      Hope they do it right.....

My guess is they'll give us a new small transport vehicle that'll be effective but balanced. People will whine and they'll replace the vehicle with patrol mountain bikes. Like all good things in BF2 if you ditch your bike, it will explode.

Same goes for ocean transport, for those times you bail out and have to swim. They'll give us something nice that will be replaced with bogie boards.

hrmn, i guess "Co-Op" is good for LAN parties or friend vs. friend battles. The title confused me though, it seems like they should just have said "bot support" since Co-Op is the way the game plays out-of-the-box. *shrug*

            the questions i have are:

            1. will vehicles drops be restricted to certain areas of a map. meaning, you can't drop on building, carriers or perhaps a radius of an enemy base (to remove the hit and run affect).

            2. is it an actually drop with 'chute and all? or will a vodnik/humvee just spawn like a normal vehicle does at a the designated spot.

            3. the numbered limit a commander can drop before a timer is set off to allow more drop / how many at a single location or radius.

i also would love to see TrackIR support be finally implemented as one of those features to be named later as it seems NaturalPoint seems to be having difficulty with the lack of support from EA/DICE (http://forums.naturalpoint.com/cgi-b...6;t=000103;p=1)

              wooohooohooo!!!!!
              Air dropped vehicles eh?
Supply drops are for arty, uav and scan trailer repairs from now on!
There's a problem with the vehicle dropping cuz almost every1 in BF2 are whoring vehicles then what stops if all players request vehicles at the same time - that will get annoyng to squad leaders and commanders as well! Then the the Problems with good infantry maps i hope that the vehicle dropping is not allowed in like Strike At Karkand, think how screwed up would be the most popularest map in BF2 think about Strike At Karkand where everyone has theyr personal tank (64 tanks)! BUT leave the vehicle dropping active for maps like Wake Island, Kubra Dam......! And then it will be a good addon to the game!:)

Re: EA Community Update - 4/25/06

Why hasn't anyone asked the real question about 1.3?

                WHEN?!

Oh, and I am all for Co-op, and think it should have been added from 1.0. It would have been oh so easy considering how you could just force a connect to a guy on your LAN playing single player and join his single player game, thus automagically turning it into co-op fun. Why didn't they just finish that game mode? It boggles the mind ...

But anyway, co-op is fun if you're just, say, three guys on a LAN and you wan't to just mess around or try some stuff out and want live targets. I just hope that DICE has considered that some of us may want to play co-op with offline accounts (some of us are behind firewalls beyond our control and/or do not want to use online accounts).

isnt it just you and a friend vrs. the computer? is that fun? wouldnt it be more funner or most funnest to play on the internet agaisnt REAL people

i dont get it? never have?

and if anyone is reading this, i LOVE EuroForces, and opperation smoke screen.
i wish it was a default map and all servers played it, id also like to see some other modes in the game, supply line, CTF, tag, king of the hill, ect.. ect..

                  THANX
because EA has their heads up thier fat asses and don't know what the **** to do. What should we do today? Fix some major bugs? HELL NO, let's add a simple and useless game mode. That will make people happy.

                    I can read the future...
Commanders will start dropping humvees on snipers instead of supply crates.

Yes, air dropping vehicles on to snipers should be so much easier then dropping crates on 'em and atleast if you miss you don't resupply them ;-)

And if they're on a hill, it'd be more embarassing for the humvee to roll down the hill and squish someone.

That all depents if you can control which direction the HMV faces when you drop it.

Wonder what the're gonna change in the awards requirement's. It also almost looks like the're paying some attention to SF again. Heres hoping for some SF maps in the future.

but if you miss, you will give him a free ride (or tank)

                              Sound good.

I like the idea of requesting car or a tank.

Will being able to pick up mines of the same class be included this time? It was missed out of 1.2 an 1.21
