      I have an old logitech optical mouse... I'm looking into the G5 or MX518 though.

          You hit that on the spot! :) right-handed gamers are of preference with Logitech it seems.

          I have the big brother variant, the G7. G5 + wireless.

          does anyone know of any good tracker balls out or soon to be out as im in the market for a new one :P
          lol

          I don't understand your breed. :) I have two buddies, both with trackballs, and one of them is kick ass at any FPS game.

          I think he has one of the later Logitech series trackballs, and he agrees with you: no having to move around the desk as much. I like watching him spin the ball and seeing his guy go all funky across the screen.

          PEACE

                Re: Which mouse do you use?

                the first mouse i used with bf2 was the,
                Logitech MX1000 Laser Cordless the only problem i had with this mouse was the pads are crap an had very bad responce times after a while due to the pads dragging on my RAZOR exactmat.
                then i moved to a G7 which was a awsome mouse that came with 2 rechargable batterys so when your using one the other is on charge had it set to 20000dpi.
                changed from this mouse as the trigger button(left mouse button) started to ware down with over use.didnt even last a year
                my current mouse is a Razer Copperhead Chaos Green 2000dpi High Precision Gaming Mouse it took a bit off gettin used to as it is a wired mouse but the responce times are incredable,if they made this an optical mouse it would be the best mouse on the market(if not already the best as ive used an tryed all the mice where i used to work).

                I see some people have some issue with their's, u have to make sure that is is plugged into a USB port on its own & not shared with other devices.

                i have the chaos green one f'n awsome mouse set to 2000dpi,
                i also have the issues what others have stated but ive tryed it in different ports on my pc 8 different ports an get the same resualt all the time,
                thiings like the pc not pickin it up at start then i have to unplugg an replug to get it to work.
                i read on there main offical forums that its a problem with the software driver that it use's,
                there is a update for the software on the site but it didnt do any thing for me infact it caused more problems.
                i sent a email to razor an got one in return the email was some thing like we are aware of the problems an a update will be avilable sortly,the mouse product is still in its early years.

                  Logitech MX1000 Laser Cordless with the matching Keyboard.

                  But I have read that all wireless mice can only go as fast (DPI) as the maximum wireless connection speed, which is usually 2.4Ghz and max DPI is 250.

                  Maybe someone who knows exact answer to this can chime in?

                    G7

                    wireless = good
                    missing front thumb button = bad
                    response = excellent

                            Mx510. I tried a couple of Razers and returned them both. Nothing beats the ergonomics of the Mx.

                              G5 all the way! Awesome mouse and "on the fly" sensitivity change is almost necessary to me now.

                                *looks under mouse* Well... it's Male. White with cream coloured spots. I named him Mr. Biggy, lol, jkjk

                                I don't know what brand, came with the comp, but it's optical with a scroll wheel. It does just fine
