    PEACE
Yes, I use button 3 for "weapon 3" so I can change from auto to semi fire. I had the front mouse button on my old mouse, mx518 set to voip. The G7 also has side scroll buttons on the wheel (left & right), but I can't seem to bind these buttons in BF2.

      MX510 here.

Increased resolution is only good up to a point. A very low point, for that matter. Laser pretty much does not matter at all versus high-res opticals, the only thing laser is really good for is the fact that you can use it on practically anything.

Oh yeah, and MS mice break quickly, I wore down the left mouse button contact on two of those stupid things after a year each. Both of my other Logitech mice lasted over 4 years before experiencing even remotely similar problems.

There is no excuse for not buying a Logitech mouse. :)

But I have read that all wireless mice can only go as fast (DPI) as the maximum wireless connection speed, which is usually 2.4Ghz and max DPI is 250.
The DPI is just the resolution the mouse captures images at to process movement. It has nothing to do with the transfer rate (2.4gHz is the frequency it transmits at, it does NOT need all of that to send data, if it did, it would be sending 3.8MB of data per FRAME)

          Logitech G5 ftw!

Only bad thing is the lack of 2 side buttons.

My old mouse is an mx510 and I was going to return the g5 when I intially purchased it, because I couldn't use the 2,000 dpi (takes some getting used to) and I missed the two side buttons. I stuck with the G5, got good with it, and now I'm not changing.

I'm use the touchpad on a Dell laptop. I know I'm giving up on a lot of accuracy, but playing BF2 while lying down cant be beat.

So yeah, I shoot with the accuracy of a blind man.

Still use a very old Compaq roller ball
People spending money on fancy mouses and still get owned.
Plus with old mouses makes it more realistic when you have to stop mid firefight to clean the rollers of dirt

lol Well to be honest I still kicking arse using that type of mouse.
Plus takes less than a minute to release the ball and get a knife on those rollers.
I find it pumps the action up abit :p

I got the Logitech G7 wireless laser mouse...It's awesome. I used to use a Microsoft optical mouse but it was always dying out on me. The accuracy of the G7 is amazing at any resolution. It's a little expensive for a mouse but it's worth it for gaming. The only downside is that the battery life doesn't last that long, I usually find myself switching batteries in the middle of playing BF2, good thing it comes with an extra one. It doesn't take that long for the batteries to charge up so its all good, plus it's very easy to switch them. So far I haven't had any problems with it whatsoever, though I only had it for a few months. I definately recommend it for anyone who is looking for a new mouse.
