i like the variety in euro force and SF maps, i just try and stay off the MEC team.

i wish stupid autobalance wasnt on almost all of the servers now...

Look even tho the translation might be a little off. The voice work is the best in the game. There is something wonderful sounding about Arabic. It's dramatic and has this wonderful epic sound to it.

if you have it on English only you won't recognize enemies when they are chatting near you.

Exactly... I've saved my ass enough times when, for example, I'm on top of a building and I hear "frag grenade" or "qoompola" from below, depending on what side I'm playing - you know to move out of the way fast!

Do you guys reckon it increses performance + decreases loading times? Think about it, the game only has to load the USMC voices. Reckon it's enough to have some sort of performace impact? Never thought about it until now, i'll do some research into it...

since I noticed the horrible language use in BF2 .. i decided to help the mod's out with this problem and maybe do some arabic voices- writings !

good form! Back when I was helping trauma with Desert Combat, it was always nice to play alongside the 2 Iraqi folks that did the voices for the mod. It was very insightful.

I'm not ashamed to say that I stepped out of line when we were both on the Iraqi team and I quipped "death to the zionist regime!". Somteimes I like to get into character in order to play better =) He thought I was stereo-typing while I said it as a lil joke among tester friends. I felt 6 inches tall.

The internet: the real coalition force. Fight the fight no matter what country you're from.

eum .. am sorry .. but the DC voices had also much errors in them! and they can't be done by Iraqi's .. atleast .. most of the voices were ABSOLUTLY not in iraqi dialect !! but in moroccain/algerian !

Oh. I was watching on Max-X a brit who was doing reporting in Afganistan. His taxi got shot up by AK fire and he fled. Soon he was back in a cab going to a hospital(he got shrapnel from a round in his nose). As they were driving by an Afgani checkpoint, he was shouting "Journalista! Journalist, journalist." Oh well

Oh, and I know, "Asala melekham"... reply would be "Alekham Salam"... My 7th grade hist teacher taught us that. I was watching Numb3rs last week and heard the phrase... sounded slightly different, there was a pause somewhere else... and diff pronunciation obviously. I can't exactly recal

I'm Iraqi, i understood the second part of the qoute, i must say, its pretty close if not, dead on Iraqi. I like it.

Better than the Mec Fuss-ha way of speaking.

As someone who speaks russian fluently, I really understand the importance of having the right translations in these games... movies too.

It's funny how the majority of the top games like BF2 are developed within the United States .. a country that has so much ethnic diversity. There are arabs left and right, why not just pick a couple off the street and have them confirm one another to make sure its right. You won't have to pay up the wazoo since no average person would say no to be a voice in major video game.

I dunno ... maybe it has to do with the voice. Maybe it's really hard to find the exact voice you want. Although that doesn't excuse grammatical mistakes.

well .. the first part:
the iraqis republican guard consisted of 7 divisions .. belonging to republican guard forces command, ( the allahu akbar - forces command and the Al-Fathul mobien - forces command )

so you had: the Call - division (Firqat al Nidaa2) .. or the We rest on Allah- division (Firqat Tawakalna 3ala allaah) .. or the Holy City- division (firqat al-madina al munawwara) etc etc .

so the quote sayed: "this is Nidaa2 division command ... we have secured the outpost and are moving to the next objective"

oh btw ..

BF2 was made in sweden, not many arabs there, it's crowded with Turks my friend tells me. (So is denmark!).

I love the sound of the language its so unique.. but my favorite voice over, is the commander lady when she says something i dunno what it is.. but it ends like "what the phuck allahammad or somethin like that." Translate plz!
