Pulsed afterburner. If you can get high enough and point the thing straight down with pulsed afterburner you can outchase the missle, believe me. If the missle is on your tail for a certain amount of time it just goes away. I did this on wake and have about 95% chance of pulling it off if I am at the right altitude.

Yeah I go ****ing 850 alt. or higher and just dive... .the **** still doesn't work.

I just try to avoid J-10's by staying up high... then swoop down and stalk them until they go straight, and then just unload bullets at them.

I dont think we are all playing the same game.

F35 can take out Migs and Su34s all day long when you know your ****. Yea, missiles almost never miss the F35, but it has flares, and thats just enough to get behind the other sucka and take em out. It has the best acceleration and roll, use it. Also the reason your missiles are missing is because they are overshooting or undershooting their target(too much speed, too little speed).

If you are getting shot down by the bombers, you have problems that delve much deeper than the game design. The J10 is the exception.

It amazes me the amount of ignorance many BF2 wannabe pilots still have.

What flares? EVERY-SINGLE-TIME I have used flares on that thing it NEVER worked. I always check in my back view - the missles ignore then and go right through them and hit my jet! No such thing as flares on that thing - they're just some pretty display in the skies.

Jeez, there is almost no way you can avoid getting shot down in the F-35. I was in it tonight and everytime someone in a MiG or Su-34 got behind me it was lights out. Nothing I did worked. Nothing. My boy Soup Nazi said it's so bad he quit flying it. I can see why. It's a flying coffin.

i have only been shot down once, only because i got relaxed and forget to look behind me.

You just arent using them correctly.

When you release flares, the flares have to be in the missiles trajectory and you have to turn out of that trajectory. If you stay, the missile will go through the flares then lock back onto you.

I would actually prefer the Su 34 to a f35 in a dogfight. 1.2 has some weird thing with the missles where they dodge away from 2 seaters and stick to single seaters (especially f35's) like stink on terd. I do alot of Su flying and I for awhile I thought I was just really good to avoid all those missles. When you try to shoot down a Su with a f-35 its a different story, if hes on the straight and level with no flares your missles still miss.

In Oman I would have to say the Mig 29 owns everything in the sky.

Damn right. Ive got 600 pills againts a Su. The only thing that will save Su is the MiG. Unfortunately MiG is too busy usually.

On Oman the entire air war should be about the SU imho, too often I see my team mate decide he wants to take on the Essex for his free kills, dies then does it again and again and again. Then he gives up so someone else tries the same thing and so on.

On the rare occasions it's actually used in the field and is matched with a nice Mig Pilot it's a MEC win.

If I fly the SU I think to myself I'll get two runs in then if their pilots are any good I'll be down, you can still get HUGE scores and make a massive differance to the outcome.

Oman is a good map in the air don't really have a huge issue with any planes on it. I always seem to run out of AB against the J10 which has been well documented.

Oh yeah, Su34 all the way against a f-35, its all in how it is used. The f-35 performs better at lower speeds whereas the Su's has better maneuverbility is at higher speeds. Yeah if im on the deck, have no burners and no flares im dead. If i come up behind a f-35 at 1000+ I have one pass and most likely your dead, if not then you are down 3/4 and and that sends alot of people running back to the carrier.
