I would love it if someone could expain this too me...

WHY IS THE THE NOOB-TOOB EVEN CALLED A NOOB TOOB?

#1: As it stands...it takes much more skill to use then throwing genades. To be blunt it's almost usless, unless someone is prone and you have a hight advantage.

#2: Even with the old Grenade Launcher, is it much different then using NOOB CLAYMORES? How about NOOB ZOOM? Theres also NOOB MEDIC packs at your feet and my favorite NOOB ENDLESS AMMO "aka BFV M60 all over again".

Regardless, the game as a whole looses it's depth when it's main "ASSAULTING" class becomes the last class you want to play. Everyone should feel cheated.

Though a lovely idea, sprint and smoke will not solve this classes problems. Again, increased accuracy and increased secondary NT damage will not only improve the class but improve the game as a whole.

Heavy armor = less sprint
No armor = More sprint.

Its common sense.....

Keeping the armor and adding longer sprint dosn't make sense to me. But then again I am biased....(all my time is logged as sniper, and spec ops)

Instead of making the classes better and better (Sniper & Support) why not make the support, medic, spec.op classes a little worse??

I've killed three people with one launcher grenade, but they were right on top of each other, and they would have to be with the nerfed blast radius.

one for one behind there was 1,5 m room and one right from 1.8 distance

and the blast raduis from a nade laucher was 2 m I though

I just shooted in the middle because if they hit the radius from the 2 meters they are alwys dead

That's a new one on me. Didn't know there was a time limit on ammo feeding points. I assume it's per person, since I know I've gotten more than one point with thrity seconds.

Hehe, even I learn something new every day!

They did add a per-person limit, but before that there was an interval limit and there still is one, might not be 30 seconds but it is there. I know I've seen more than one person pick up my bags and not get credit for it, especially when I'm feeding an entire squad bullets and walk away with only one point.

Because you could noobtube somebody when hopping around.
and you cold shoot him from 2 meters and still don't die.

but your enemey was dead and you had no damaga at all.
that was quit lame and it was quit easy to do it!!.

I agree with you...but then that was what the weapon was supposed to do.

You still haven't explain how it's different fron any other NOOBISH thing. I find it easy to camp soom roof top surrounded by NOOB CLAYMORES with NOOB ZOOM popping persons from a great distance.

Bottom line is the grenade launcher was nerfed which would be equal to the sniper having to snipe with a iron sight, or a PKM with a 20 round clip.

I totally agree. However, medics can heal themselves and others, support can resupply themselves and others, snipers can take people out at distance that almost noone else can do, engineers can repair vehicles, spec ops can blow up assests and assault should be able to take people out with more effectiveness. Without being able to take people out with more effectiveness, they are weaker than every other class because their only other plus is a smoke grenade.

They normally have the GL and smoke, if they get SF they get flashbangs and you'd have to be an idiot to think flashbangs are not a GREAT advantage. The fact that no one knows how to use smoke does not make it suck.

Assault is supposed to win a one on one mid-close range battle with anyone else.

That's what I'm saying, not neccessarily. Think about it, if you pack more than one smoke it enables you and your teammates to move around more freely and hit a point without worrying about taking enemy fire along the way. Also means that if a tank/APC is rolling in, you can keep yourself from getting shot at.

Semi-distant enemies get slammed with the GL, meaning your attack force is up one man as soon as the fighting starts.

I'd say that's really assault's defining purpose: Softening up the enemy so you can attack them more effectively. Not neccessarily winning because of superior firepower.

You didn't NEED to jump and shoot it, doing that was only insurance against being a horrible shot.

The SAW is better for that, and taking out a squad with support is risky. One thing most people don't realize is how vulnerable you are prone at close range. Quick trick: You see them drop prone, JUMP OVER THEM. Guess what? They're never going to figure out what just happened, they're never going to hit you, and you've got a still target you can pump full of bullets immediately. If they stand up, they can't fire for a full second. Either way you win.

you saw tons of noobs running with it and shooting like spray and pray
when they adjusted the PKM.

and know in patch 1.22. the kit overal balance is quit good.

I wish only for some more smoke grenades and that the some would exist longer. because I use them to trick the enemey because they canne look what will come out of the smoke and not from the right side

to cover myself if tanks or apc's are camping then it's hard to go to the other side if the runeway if it's blocked by tanks or apc's

I disagree with you.

The sniper rifles are meant to be used zoomed, the support weapons are meant to be used for fire support.

However the GL was never meant to be used as a instagib while bunny hopping whore weapon.

It was meant to provide indirect fire support.

That was NOT how it was beig used in the game.

While I agree calling it a "noob"-tube probably isn't accurate, it was way the easiest weapon to get kills with, and you could use it exactly like the rocket launchers in Quake and UT. It is a"noob" weapon because for sci fi FPS players there was little to no learning curve.

Don't get me wrong,t here were plenty of people who could use it much better than I could, but it was easy as pie to get kills with it.

The thing that annoyed me personally was the instant arming. I know people say don't argue IRL ,vs Game, but IRL it has a 10-14 meter arming distance because it's still dangerous to the shooter inside this distance.

It wasn't in BF2. Run, jump, noob tube, +2. And escaping with 100% health after being directly above the explosion.

It just didn't fit into the role of "Modern Combat" that BF2 proposses to be.

There are plenty of arcadey sacrifices to gameplay, but this one was just idiotic.

Agree 1 smoke grenade is just useless. Also smoke should prevent enemy scans from seeing people enveloped in them.

I like this alot!

I think they should be tougher too. Give them someting to make them different.

im unsure about sprint, but definatly more smoke grenades I never had less than 3 in real life
