Nope. It's only my name... think of it as, " Signed for Authenticity ". It's like a Geico quote; you can get pie and chips anywhere... mine are freshly made to order though.

Besides, I type well over 100 wpm. I think I'm good to go.

P.S. - ...it's still only in your opinion. Hitting people at 100m with the M203 is more like poker than anything. Sure, there is skill involved about knowing what "could" happen based on the given variables. Yet, you're still mostly playing a game of chance.

Bringing back the old ones though would result in them being used as shotguns just like before.

Meanwhile they've still got their uses in less-cramped maps, where you often have enough distance to use the GL.
This hear is VERY valid and exactly why I didn't include it in my suggested fix.

It's simply not clear as to how the GL could be unnerfed without making it the noobtoob again.

If it was my baby, I'd play with a dual radius. A blast zone (tight area of very high damage) and a fragmentation zone (starting at the edge of the blast, but with much less damage ramping down to nothing in an area roughly on par with a hand grenade). This, I think, would help things out in several ways. It would reduce point blanking since you're more likely to catch a piece of the damage thanks to a larger over-all splash, but would make it more effective as an area effect weapon while still retaining it's anti-light armour abilities.

I can see how people could argue against such a suggestion, tho.

Thus, I consiter it a seperate issue.

I would agree on 3 smoke grenades, that would help a lot, those things can be very effective.

And either add some sprinting or add some more ammo to it.

i agree on the sprint aspect, but the sprint needs to be longer for all the classes. we are working with trained military personel. and 4 smoke grenades would make me use the kit more. as it is, i end up anti-tank the most, or medic. but i love the g3 and more s-nades would be welcomed.

Remember, we're working with a system that has all it's scale reduced. We've got sniper rifles that are only effective at a fraction of their real world range, planes that practically shove their noises up eachother's tails before getting a lock, and tanks and jeeps that crawl along the roads.

I don't think general sprint lenght is really a big factor of RL that needs to be tweaked.

i feel sorry, but i presume, that noobtoobing experience gained from bunnyhoping has nothing in common with distant nade launching. the later requires skill.

Dude, he's right. If a good assault player has a support guy with him for ammo, he can wreak mega-havoc on advancing enemies from the rooftops (especially the roof next to the Square flag on Karkand) with the GL.

It takes a lot of skill to consistently get guys far away; it's like throwing a 60 yard pass that just happens to explode when it reaches the reciever. My squadmate Wheelcipher is practically surgical with the long-distance noobtoob; I'm generally support, resupplying him with more grenades.

I do think more (and/or better) smoke grenades is a good thing; I've always thought that the assault class should get two smoke grenades. However, I'm not too hot for the increased sprint idea. It would certainly help, and it would make sense as the other armored classes are toting around huge weapons, but if assault needs a buff, it should be in the firepower category. The medic class gets a better rifle than the assault class, and the grenade launcher alone isn't enough to give the assault class an edge firepower wise, especially when the medic (and most other classes) have nuclear hand grenades. And you can still belly flop with the machine guns, which makes them part assault rifle.

its not the sprint/smoke that bothers me:
just the fact that assault vs any other class should win in general
gl needs more splash: between 1.12 and 1.22 would be nice (if you dont get what i mean lets just take theses...
                  1.12 S= 10
                  1.22 S= 5
                  1.3 S= 7
                  halfway in between

The GL can stay the same, hell i'd still be happy with the current innnacurate assualt rifles. Extra sprint and smoke grenades is something that would make assualt, well - The assualt class.

In terms of sprint i think that support should be REDUCED and assualt increased. Makes more sense in terms of balance and further enhance what each kit is intended to do.

It's frustrating when you get genuine stuff to ask for like this, but you end up getting PKM Snipers & Indestructable Claymores and/or J10's

I'd disagree with that. No kit should be just flat-out "more powerful." Every kit has some set of advantages and disadvantages in their style of combat, assault just needs a different one. Right now, it's GLs (which got nerfed hard and became so awkward they're barely usable), the G3, flashbangs (!!!), and smoke. Smoke has far more utility than most people give it credit for, but the fact that you only get one canister that never recharges makes it effectively useless.

Unless you're playing with a good squad and you've got voice. Bring a support buddy along and let him feed you cans o smoke. You can lay out quite a bit in very little time.

Still, I wouldn't have sugested more smoke if I didn't think it needs to be there. Just thought I'd point that out as something worth remembering while playing. BTW, it makes support guys hella happy too. One smoke grenade is worth a full point for the support guy feeding ammo.

Hmm... dunno if I really shoulda mentioned that. Gonna start seeing more smoke spam from stats padders. :p

I see the assault as a professional soldier, someone who practises weapon drills etc...

Therefore my verdict is; I agree with Wargimp about the extra sprint and more smoke and would like to raise you a shorter reloading time, as these guys are the weapons experts.

The last thing support needs to worry about is finding someone not 100% full on ammo. :p

The real limit to supply points is the 30 second interval limit.

That's a new one on me. Didn't know there was a time limit on ammo feeding points. I assume it's per person, since I know I've gotten more than one point with thrity seconds.

Hehe, even I learn something new every day!
