I dont think anyone has told you yet so I will.
If you don't hit space bar and swap through the players there are no name tags but theres a way to get rid of the completely. Im pretty sure you press ~ and then type in "renderer.drawHud 0" to turn it off and change the 0 to a 1 to turn it back on.
That might just get rid of the hud and that I cant remember sorry.
Someone else can probally help you out who has more knowledge.
Im gonna download it as soon as me bro stops playing BF2 haha, dont wanna lag him lol.
