Let's see how cocky they'd be in unarmed combat

What does it matter...what was the point of that?

Who's to say they wouldn't be cocky or able to back it up? Besides, it's fight smarter, not harder. "Don't bring a knife to a gunfight" comes to mind.

what the hell blows up them tanks? i dont see any missiles hitting it or anything it just blows up. im talkin about the first few
            Its what this guy said:

I think they've got different modes engage. One mode which has the hellfire take height and strike from above and another mode that just follows the dot in a straight line. **This is pure speculation on my part**
looked to be 3 modes of fire. GUN , TOW, and HF DES (hellfire)... and it seemed to me that the TOW was used for the short range shots and the HF for the medium to long range. Good stuff. Also notice that you dont actually "ride the missile" in tv mode, the cams on the chopper itself zoom on the target for a visual and you just keep the crosshair over target ftw.
            What he said ^^^

Nice. All i want from bf2 side of the fence is the tv guided missiles - leave the camera on the chopper and the gun to puff up some smoke from the ground.

I like the Hellfire's LOL ability. Lock on after Launch. Heli can hide behind building / vegitation and punch a missile over it, the Hellfire then guids itself to a target.

Of course this requires a marker of some sort, another heli, and AC-130, or a spec ops with a designator.

And it would be Sooooo easy to abuse.

Three things: First, the iraqis didnt have any defence systems.

Secondly, another set of videos also show other cobra/apache pilots engaging live targets with sufficient zoom for visual dismemberment. One man you can see blown into 3 distinct pieces, and, the US pilots fire on already wounded soldiers. That is a warcrime. Remember the video of a US soldier killing unarmed civilians? Also a warcrime.

Thirdly, theres another video on the second page which shows a child having a section of his skull ripped off from a sniper bullet. (read: "destiny's child")

War, what is it good for?

Yea wtf is up with that video? He throws a gun down and they pop him? And the guy is wounded on the ground and they blast him away too? Seems pretty unlegit

mmm, all part of the word "Honor" that the US seem to associate with their military actions.
Using the advanced weapons of a massive defence budget against poorly equipped "terrorists" defending their country against Western invaders. It's unbelievable.
Let's see what they'd be like without their fancy gadgets.

Yea, I wouldn't doubt that they would whine. But, if you made the US Navy more realistic the game would be 1 sided. So, maybe the balance is needed.

I don't want to sound hostile here, but you have no idea what those chopper pilot's missions were. What if those guys near that truck had a detonator to blow up half of that town? Or they were about to set up small artillary to shell a U.S. base?

You'd make sure they were all dead, too.

As for the child and civilian video , I have nothing to say about that one.

1.They clearly say hit the truck before killing the wounded guy near the truck thus getting around the incpacitated part.
                          2. War is not a playground and there hasn't been a single armed conflict anywhere where all the conventions has been followed all the time.
3.I'm not sure the americans even acknowledge the soldier status of the so called resistance.

So quick to judge based on the actions of a few... I know that in any unit I've been in, we only did what was in the best interest of our people and the civilians in the area. You never see the videos of where we check our fire on an obviously hostile target simply because he decided to put his AK down and wave his hands in the air "surrendering." Why, because that kind of video doesn't satisfy the majority's morbid curiousity. You have no idea what the enemy's intentions were and it obviously took some time to cofirm the targets as there was a segment cut out of that video. It wasn't just shooting someone on a whim. You obviously have no clue as to how things are in war. Accidents happen, mistakes are made, but the overall "honor" behind our collective actions is there.

I wish I could also reside on the moral high ground that you live on.

Just by the way, there is nothing in either the Hauge treaty or the Geneva Convention that say you can't shoot people who are wounded.

You just aren't allowed to shoot people who have surrendered.

                                There is a diference.

There could be cause for complaint because they used the Apache's 30mm cannon against personell. It is a bit of a grey area, but one could make an argument for the explosive shells causing inhumane wounds.
